Yeah, I was wondering what’s the Catch ?

On my Muscle Milk, it's Best Before not Expiry. Still good for 6 months after this date.

4 scoops per serving for only 32g protein but 110g of carbs!

Maybe if you were bulking but definitely don't buy this for the protein content…

    • +1

I am bulking and it's still too much. I need 450g carbs per day so I'm not having most of a meal worth of carbs just in this crap when I'm still not even half way to hitting my protein goal! What a joke!

    • It says 25g on the front and 32 on the back.

    • +1

It isn't worth it if you are bulking - it's still just going to be loaded with $2 a kilo maltodextrin.

  • +3

This is pretty abysmally low protein, and super high carbs. Good for some bulking, but at that point it'd almost be healthier to smash some KFC

Some post workout zingers, never pre workout zingers

      • +4

        pre-workout pingers, post work-out zingers

    • I'm bulking and it's still a joke to me

    • I'd rather smash some bananas.

Best to buy whey containing >80%w/w protein, and mix it with sources of carbs yourself when/if required

  • +1

The first image and description suggest 25g of protein per serving of 227 kcal
But the label in the 2nd picture shows serving size 650 kcal, protein amount per serving 32g …?

    For bodyguards, by bodyguards

    Ah yes, enslaved obesity.

  • EXP in America, but Best Before here. It's good for 6 months after the date. I wouldn't take it after that.

I'm still drinking BB:07/08/2019. Throwing left over by next week

    • I see you like living dangerously haha

I was intrigued by the comments on the cals, protein, carbs etc so did a bit of digging.

The rear label is off their "Gainer" and not the actual "Genuine High Protein" Muscle Milk.

    Link to the Gainer here
    https://shop.musclemilk.com/MUSCLE-MILK-Gainer-Protein-Powde…
    650 cal, 32g P, 110g C, 162g serve from 4 scoops.

High Protein Muscle Milk label here
    https://shop.musclemilk.com/MUSCLE-MILK-GENUINE-Protein-Powd…

    310 cal, 32g P, 20g C, 70g serve from 2 scoops.

With the front 25g label, maybe it's old packaging where they used smaller scoop/portion sizes as the cals per serve is also lower.

For the price I guess it's not bad, I'd still take Bulk Nutrients though for a bit more.
