    The Coleman version of this is identical and always available for $50 on eBay. I bought one and it’s great. Holds good charge and is fairly quiet.

    • what's the model?

        Can’t post the ebay link. Just search Coleman rechargeable fan. Plenty come up

          Not accurate;

          • eBay sell the 8 inch Coleman for $59 delivered (not $50)
          • this ALDI fan is identical to the 12 inch Coleman which is at best $79 delivered on eBay

      The Coleman ones run directly on 12v too, while most only recharge off 12v. Dont know if the Aldi does too or not.

        I own one from ALDI;

        Charge or operate from 240V
        Charge or operate from 12V
        Operate from built-in battery

        • Haha, you just beat me to this answer. Got mine out of storage just to test this out and as far

          as I can test same results as you. Mine has charge in it, so although it works all three ways

          like your above comment, will now run battery completely flat ( good to do full deep charge a

          few times when new(ish) anyway ) and see if it still works whilst charging 12v/240v. Will

          rapport back when battery's flat. Got mine last year when on clearance for $30, but impressed

          with it so worth $50 me thinks. Just looked at the ebay listing for the Coleman 12" Portable

          fan which is $79 delivered and this Aldi Model is identical with switches, led indicators and

          led lights in same spots, less the pictures and writing, so this is a good deal with Aldi warranty

          and 60 day satisfaction policy. Can remove battery too when needing a replacement in future.

    Bought the Coleman version at Tentworld Coopers Plains for $39.99 for the Australia Day weekend camping. We have USB ports in the camper trailer and it was great.

    The Coleman doesn't charge while you're running it off USB.

    No bargain at Aldi sorry.

      Not sure if you're comparing the same item. The ALDI item will not charge off USB - it charges from either 240V mains or 12V via cigarette adapter.

      This ALDI fan is identical to; https://www.tentworld.com.au/buy-sale/coleman-rechargeable-t…
      which is priced at $74.90 (save $35.09) from your source.
      If you got it for $39 - good on you, but you do not charge either fans via USB.

        The Coleman Fan came with a 240V adapter for charging. It also charges via USB (with an included single USB port cigarette lighter adapter). If it's on and connected to USB, it doesn't charge. $39.99 was the ticketed price when I bought it.

        How do I know it charges via USB? It ran out of battery while we were miles away from 240V, and after a day in the trailer connected to USB it was recharged.

        Cool eh? err bad pun intended

  • Anyone have any comments about the aldi roof racks vs brand name ones?

  • This fan is currently $29.95 at Dapto NSW. Perhaps other outlets are also discounting it.
