I've only seen the 85 degree shop in Taiwan….

Looks like they only have NSW stores.

And what have you posted? Besides your 2 worthless comments?

Welcome to Ozbargain. Protip: don't be a jackass.
i really cant see your point in saying that…
remember not to hit your head on your way out
:(
i want one in melb!theres one on george st
'don't tell my boss'
Crazies ever!
Good find. Thanks for this mate!
Walk past it everyday, there normal deals are cake n drink for five bux or something.
I pass this place outside my uni (UNSW) quite often and have never gone inside.
Might just try 'em out :)
I pass the one at Parramatta all the time, seeing all the little cakes in the window, I thought they sold 85cent cakes.
It's a bit pricey. I think the savouries are a miss. The cakes made by 85° are european recipes unlike the other chinese bakeries that make weird tasting fusion sweets.
UNSW? Why aren't I surprised ;)
Actually I often had breakfast there (85 Degree Cafe near UNSW) with my family on Sunday mornings. The coffee is not so good, tea and bread are nice (and cheaper than Bread Top).
didnt noe u were asian scotty…
But he made OzBargain.. I thought it was assumed knowledge =P
@illumination — nice assumption but I would think that being cheap-arse is a multi-culture thing, a common religion, the national sport that binds all of us together?! :)
Should change his name to Sulu.
Which store was the pic taken it? Do we know this is at all stores?
at the top of the poster it actually says 0.99yuan (Chinese currency). Converted to AUD that's actually 15c for a drink, hmm….
Nice try but in common usage 元 is usually defined to be one unit of the local currency. ;)
Perfect. I've always carried bags of Chinese currency.
Actually, 85 Degrees Cafe has Taiwanese origin, and $0.99 TWD = 3 cents AUD!! Even better!
Scotty, r u from Taiwan as well?
True. Living in Down Under for the last 20+ years though.
Please tell me they don't add seasalt to the green tea.
They may be using this
http://www.saltworks.us/matcha-salt.htmlLooks too expensive for them to use.
Maybe it's a take on sea salt caramels?
yum, options 2 and 3 for me. still have to wait 10 days though. hope I remember.. maybe we need to add a deal reminder feature in ozbargain…
just a note: i think 85degrees cakes are better than breadtop…
good deal, good find OP!
I know being ozAzn, you are probably more qualified than myself on this topic, but I would say there are also some dessert items in breadtop that are nicer, so for me it's half and half..
well… for example, the creme brule (guessing thats the correct spelling CBB googling) is french, and 85degrees ones are better than breadtop.
^note CBB means Cant Be Bothered…
^^Look out for variant of CBB; CBF replacing Bothered with Fu**ed…
Be warned, the one on/near George is always busy, much like the old traditional one in Haymarket.
-sigh… only if 50嵐 came to australia…
85C is alright. there milk tea is made with more creamer than other chain's like easway hence some say it tastes better.what is 50嵐?
50 cent?
thought he came down before…
another chain of milk tea shops like easyway :) which originates from taiwan x)
EASYway is losing popularity FAST…
E.G Eastwood one of Sydneys most Chinese + Korean Suburbs, had their Eastwood Easyway closed (possible future relocation though) and ChaTime is seriously sucking up their business…
I thought No. 1 was a beer… damn.
Im guessing those are the three recipes in stock about to reach its expiry date
yea… I really cant dream up a Tiramisu Cappuchino… is it with Tia Maria (alcohol) because that would be nice!
are any of these drinks actually any good?
which state?
