huh? what? $99. I dont need an Ebike but this is tempting. anyone got any feedback on this bike?
    ends up being $158.99 delivered.

most likely a pricing error and not going to be honoured. time wasted. $1900 discount? yeah right

      • +8

as a knight of time I purchased first and then went back in time after my order got cancelled and negged

        • -5

The job isn't done yet, next part is to complain and throw comments in about contract law and binding transactions and bagging them on social media etc until they give you a gift card to shut you up. Isn't that how price errors with large companies work?!

        https://www.anacondastores.com/terms-and-conditions

"* While we make every endeavour to ensure the accuracy of our website pricing, in the event of system based or human pricing errors if you acquire a product at the incorrect price we will advise you as soon as possible and we reserve the right to cancel the transaction/ your order and refund the mistaken purchase price to you."

The "sale" contract includes the acceptance of the sales T&Cs. Which will mean the above holds true. Your argument doesn't fly even if you take it up to ACCC or equivalent because you accepted the T&Cs as part of the sale.

      • Well look at the comments below… I was right, free $100 gift card. Like I said, 5 mins time well spent… So much unnecessary negging of my comment, but I can commence my laughing…. !! :)

    Just got taken off lol

  • Damn I was about to purchase and it has been removed.

  • +5

Purchased to see if it gets honoured. Paid via Paypal 👌🏻

    • +3

man if that gets honoured, you one lucky pr*ck haha

  • Was about to complete the order and removed lol

  • They have just pulled it. I clicked on the link, added to my cart, logged in and then it was gone from my cart.

Clicked on the link again and it just takes you to the bikes page now.

Bummer, was hoping for another DJI Drone-like honoured price error (I was one of the lucky few to nab a drone).

    • What deal did you get on the drone?

      • +1

It was big on OzB a few months ago. DJI Mavic Zoom 2 or something pricing error for $299 I think it was. Should have been like $1799. Lots of people ordered, and Bunnings surprisingly honoured some of them that got in very early and the rest gave refunds and a gift card as an apology (can't remember how much for).

I don't think I will ever get another deal that good :)

        • Oh wow that’s amazing!

        • The gift voucher was $250!

  • They Booted it from my cart as I was checking out lol

Let us know how you go! I was too slow

  • +3

Did you really need a question mark at the end of the title, OP?

  • Same here. I wasn’t fast enough!

  • those who bought , can you please check if the order history shows the order? they took the money but no order in the order history

    • yes I can see the order

      • can you post a screenshot of what the order looks like on your end?

      • +20

So you negged the deal for being a pricing error, but also purchased the product??

        • tough customer…

        • to prove that I am right when it gets cancelled of course

p.s. it just did, the refund came through. see? I was right

    • +1

Yep, I have an order and a tax invoice

    • +1

I have it in my order history, and i have the confirmation email.

  • +2

I didn't get one, but i hope this turns out well for those who were able to buy!!!

  • As store websites are pretty good at user tracking and analytics and can generally see the website a customer has linked from (ozbargain), would it be more likely to be honoured where the user hasn't come from a site explicitly stating its a pricing error?

A paranoid workaround would be to copy the link into a new tab.

    • +1

Don't see how it should matter how you got to the store…

      • +3

Its stems from whether they choose to use discretion is honouring sales. Ozbargained price errors would likely affect whether the loss to the retailer is acceptable to bear. Retailers may choose to honour a pricing error or provide some compensation to manage any reputation damage from regular customers, It seems it would be easy for them to distinguish between a buyer who fit their customer profile and came across the deal on their website and entered in good faith, and buyers that have been forewarned that its a pricing error and are less likely to be upset when its not honoured?

      • +1

You don't know analytics then :)

        • +1

Which part makes you say that?

Of course I'm not at all an expert in ecommerce analytics hence why I have prefaced statements with 'it seems'. So if you happen to work in a big retail ecommerce department, I am very curious to know whether this is feasible?

          • @jayel: @jayel: I think he was directing the comment at me… I understand analytics. I was merely pointing out that it shouldn't matter. Its dodgy in my opinion.

            • @Scootex: Yeah, it was, just the analytics so they know where to spend their marketing dollars etc, that's how this site makes their dollars. The amount of data that is freely available on people is quite disturbing. Those phone calls that put you in with a chance of winning a $50 voucher or iPad are all sold off to big companies so they can form data points on people and suburbs. I have access to a program at work that can give me the rough income, phone numbers, amount of people in the house etc. Get on the no-call list is my advice and sign up your parents etc.

  • I managed to order one too. Let's see what happens

  • we need some kind of metstore likeley price error bot :)

  • Error

    Weight limit: 100 kgs

…would have excluded most ozbargainers anyway :P

  • +8

We've been taken for a ride

  • +2

Ordered one via Paypal before it was taken down. Just now received an order confirmation email, let see if they honor the deal.

  • +3

I must be very unwell. Had opportunity to snag one. 100%. Decided to not proceed. Do I need a specialist?

    • dont worry…you dont need to exploit every price error
i did the same with the bunnings drone deal…

  • +3

I just got a paypal refund from Anaconda.

    • +1

      same..

    • +5

…at least theyre quick with the refund!

      • +1

Bit better than the 2 month refund from Curious Planet.

  • +1

Funny thing there's an Anoconda add showing as a display add on this page at the right hand side for me. Had that deal (still with the $99 price) front and centre!

  • Bike has been re-added to the site.. $999… I guess they missed a 9.

    • +1

      I guess they missed a 9.

      Maybe it wasn't an error…

Almost 4,000 clicks and it's cost them nothing…

  • So is anyone still buying the bike is 1/2 price there was a lot of keen people wanting it

    • I have seen it down to this price on multiple occasions so I would consider this the realistic "usual" price

  • +2

Top notch service by Anaconda, I received a $100 egift card due to the pricing error.

    • +1

Yep I got the same thing. Great customer service. Well done to them
