Is It Legit - "Full Shiny Living Pokedex (Entries 1-807) - Pokemon Home"

Saw this item on Ebay selling for $120.
Does anyone know if these are legit ?
I am no expert on this but a complete shiny dex is just too good to be true.
Also not sure if getting these will lead to later being banned somehow by Nintendo.
Thanks!

The Pokemon provided are definitely Generated or Cloned, therefore not legit Pokemon.

Depending on how the Pokemon was obtained originally/generated, this may get you banned from Online Services for Pokemon/Nintendo Servers.

Also $120 is a rip off, since it not that difficult to do it yourself with a Homebrewed 3DS.

    • Thanks buddy.
Though all 10 sets sold out already..
I guess there are people like me that are not technical savvy.
Is there a way to tell if Pokemons are legit ?

Though all 10 sets sold out already..

This shouldn't be an issue for the seller, since Pokemon can be generated anytime from saved files.

Is there a way to tell if Pokemons are legit ?

Unfortunately outside of unobtainable Pokemon, Pokemon with illegal moves/abilities/caught ball, very limited special event Pokemon, 6IV Perfect Pokemon*; it difficult to differentiate illegal from legit Pokemon if you don't know what you're looking for.

      • sometimes kids get access to their parents ebay.

  • Hacked on a 3ds , ds or gba and sent across

  • I'm sorry but, all Shiny Deoxys Forms and a V-Create Rayquaza?

Yeah no way, his mons are 100% hacked.

    • I think it safe to assumed that the Pokemon are Hacked from the Title

Obviously if the seller can inject your Original Trainer Name and ID it's not gonna be legit. Plus it's almost impossible to obtain a full shiny collection to begin with.

Thought I would add to the discussion since I've cloned Pokemon in the past to experiment with the software (never used for competitive).

There are three categories for Pokemon-legit,legal and hacked.

    Legit - caught properly
Legal - editing done, but done properly
Hacked - editing done, but has something illegal.

Legal Pokemon cannot be detected by the the game and as such would bypass any checks that game freak has. Essentially, legit and legal are equal from the game point of view.

What that person is selling is legit or hacked depending on how much care is placed into creating them. But like others have said, there are certain. Legendaries that would be considered hacked as they have not released certain shinies and yes, your account can get banned. How well game freak enforce that is a different story.

    • Thanks for the detailed explanation!

Legal - editing done, but done properly

Btw what does editing done properly mean?

There are certain max stats , natures and other stuff a pokemon can have plus its location where it was found etc - these look legit and cant be detected

What qwerty said. Let's say there is a special event where they handed out a Pokemon. If I want to recreate one because I missed it, I would:

Research thoroughly about that event, date, nature, iv and ev that is fixed, OT, how we met, and whole bunch of hidden values to make sure what I create is identical or within what is possible to obtain from said event.

On a software level, codes are identical and as such, not detectable. A completely legal Pokemon and only you would know it is not legit.

Another scenario is that you are in the battle tower and you come across an articuno that performed 3 sheer cold consecutively and you are bitter,so you edit your Pokemon to give it the best stat it can have. IV - Max value of 31, EV - Max value of 255 and total no greater than 510. What you have created is still legal as it is possible for you to obtain such Pokemon. The game would not be able to tell if it's legit or legal as codes are just codes. You did not break any rules.

Not done properly would be creating a shiny Arceus and said you caught it in Route 1 at level 1 which is not possible. Those hacked Pokemon could potentially mess up the save files or get picked up by gamefreak. That said, gamefreak hack detection is not perfect, so many still slip through
