    The newer version is cheaper:

Uses universal type-c charging instead of a charging base. I have one and it works really well.

    • Thanks mate

    • cool I think i'll buy one.

    • Yeah this is a great shaver, will see how long the battery will last, just have it for 1 year, all seems fine for now.

my last Panasonic survived for 4 years before the battery dying, while made in Germany Braun. Last 1 1/2 year before suddenly the battery dead, claimed warranty second one also die within a year, and they refuse to honour the warranty after that, well that's is $300 shaver, while Panasonic is $199 and xiaomi I get it for $50.

      • My Braun from 2008 is still going and it was a cheapie

Uses universal type-c charging instead of a charging base

Plugging a cable in is far more inconvenient than placing the device onto a base for charging.

Other than the orientation issue (which to be fair is a major issue with USB A Type 1) I don't understand why everyone wants USB C so much.

      • +3

Maybe because everyone uses USB C connection already and have them handy almost everywhere in their house?

Charging base = 1 additional cable/charge that you have to add, meanwhile with USB C, you can use your headphones or your phone charger.

        Just maybe..

        • Not everyone. None of my phones, tablets or laptops use USB C.

    • Thanks! Just got one.

  • From charging time looks like it's lithium.
Where do you get replacement blades from?

  • So, is this better or similar to one of those Phillips Senso Touch 3D?

  • The Chinese government wants to know how I shave too ?

  • Hmm… trying to redeem new user promo codes but it says - none available…

"360℃ floating shaving technology" That is HOT!

  • Does anyone use this to shave their head? Any comments?

  • how close do these shave? comparable to a generic mach 3 razor?

    • Unlikely, no electric shaver will give you as close as that. You might get a more comfortable shave though

thanks, I figured as much. I'm not sure why people use and recommened them if they are left with stubble after a "shave"? seems not fit for purpose?

        • +2

I use electric for comfort and convenience. I've never had any cuts, breakouts of acne or skin rashes from electric shavers but I've had them from razors always. Plus I shave dry and in 5-7 mins without shaving every day(clean up and prep adds about 5 mins). You're not left with stubble it's just that certain places are left a little less smooth than others)

@chriaj2689: mkay thanks for the info, i might try this again (i had one years ago, that had two bars rather than one like this with the 3 flexible heads)

I had one, pretty much useless even on the "turbo" settings.
And I don't even have thick facial hair.
    Waste of money.

Have you used any of the Philips - is this one close to Philips?
