Waiting on the Corona Virus Edition.
It's been released already. Your turn.
not officially pandemic tho :-)
If it is official, you got no time to play :)
The Corona Virus Edition is a very overrated game and only a real challenge for ages 80+. For everyone else it's difficult but there's actually an extremely high chance you will beat it.
Corona Virus Edition is actually a resource management game, where you compete for toilet paper, hand sanitiser and face masks.
Well, this is ironic! Pandemic board game price drop, looks like an updated version for Coronavirus is coming lol
Is the winner determined by who can hoard the most toilet paper?
Hand sanitiser.
Rice and Pasta
Here for the comments.
Jokes aside, this is a cracking price. Thanks OP
Something to keep occupied with while stuck in home isolation?
No longer $50.95. Has jumped to $91.
I saw this deal last Thursday and bought one. Didn't post it because there was only 2 in stock before buying it.
Yep, missed out last time. Missed out this time :-(
Panic buying now includes board games
Jokes on you, I hoard board games like its a full time job
@inasero: Jokes on you, I hordes toilet paper and board games for over 18 months since coles cleared those packs at $1.40 A 12 pack.
Need something to do while quarantined!
Highly recommend to get alerts from Camelx3 as Amazon prices fluctuates quickly. Not all pandemic deals will end up on ozbargain as they can be limited in quantity (<10). $50.95 seems to be the sweetspot for this game.
My copy is arriving today and can't wait to play with my misus.

If my copy was coming today, I'd probably have a boardgame night with the missus instead..
Each to their own I guess..
@Chadsta: Thanks for making me laugh. I guess I need to reprioritise
Check to see if it's fake. It most likely is.
Below is all the pictures of real vs fake.
@[Deactivated]: Thanks. Will do it this weekend. So far based on the reply in reddit where another person was comparing it as well, the writing on the back of the box is clear.
Biggest giveaway would be the infection cubes and the cure tokens. I'll reply to your message again once I've checked it out.
crap. that sold out quick. It didn't have a number of stock items so I thought it would last a bit longer.
Yea, I'm sure deals are supposed to have a quantity > 10 or something to be posted here.
Just FYI these 'Legacy' games are meant for single or limited play throughs. This is not the original Pandemic.
The game asks you to rip up or destroy cards as you play.
I believe you can create so-called 'reset kits', or just ignore that game mechanic or rules, but the thought of doing that to my poor cards hurts!
Playing Gloomhaven which is legacy as well, couldn't bring myself to tear the cards and kept them in a zip lock bag.
But when it came to stickers and marking on the book and map, I didn't hold back and sharpie-ed them.
I might just get the blue version when it's on sale to play with my core boardgames group. Putting both red and blue version next to each other forms a panorama.
why? how is that justified?
is it a long term game that builds off previous plays or something where it might actually matter?
or is it a fairly static single playthrough thats always gonna be pretty much the same?
and even then, what the crap?
Legacy games are supposed to be only played once.
Yes, there are like 12 scenarios for this game and you play them in order to simulate 1 year of the pandemic and results from previous sessions carry on.
I don't know how if a single player through would differ but I believe it would since each session is linked and depends entirely on where the infection outbreaks are would have long term effect on the game.
Reason for playing it only once is because there are rules and surprises that will come up as you play. The new curve balls are what prevents alpha players from running the entire game and keeps it fresh. Legacy games introduces mystery and anticipation. Replying it would defeat the purpose.
I hope that helps
Fair enough I guess. I'm used to expecting replayability in board games. If deviating from that allows some new and worthwhile experience, why not.
They better be some amazing curve balls though, I feel like I'd still wanna play again if it's that good.
It kinda sounds like if you bought a dvd that wiped itself during the credits to prevent rewatching, or even sharing with others.
@crentist: Pandemic legacy provides 12-24 play sessions. So if you win, you proceed to the next, if you lose, you get 1 more chance before being forced to the next one.
I guess counter-argument is that I probably won't get that much replayability with the base game. Got 4 sessions out of it as we lost the first 3 in medium difficulty and then bumped the difficulty up and won. Personally, it would be pretty difficult to get any more sessions out of the base game.
But it would definitely be an issue when you have more than one group of people to play with.
Last time i got order cancelled…and i missed again! T.T
don't worry..its probably been handled by someone with coronavirus. imagine catching it from a pandemic board game.
Do they come with complimentary face mask?
This deal will go viral
Back in stock
This is probably counterfeit. Amazon is a fan of buying counterfeit board games.
They've had them all I believe..
Azul, Catan, Terraforming mars, 7 wonders, Cards against humanity, Ticket to ride and yes,
pandemic season one (red box).
