I remember getting this last year from their ebay site for a similar price. However, the left side of the earbud constantly drops out and loses connection. I've looked all over the net to find a solution and was mostly told to do a factory reset since this problem is common. Tried to do the factory reset but it never went to the "second phase of blinks" so i could never actually do a proper factory reset. Bought a cheaper "ripoff" bluetooth airdots that was posted here for around $15 and it works perfectly.

    • I have soundpeats which look identical, and I get the same issue.

If I leave home and get the left earbud not syncing I literally can't do anything about it until whenever I get home because you need to have it plugged into the charging cable to do the factory reset.

      So annoying.

QCY is definitely better as i bought various headsets to try. Ended up with a few pairs of QCYs.

    • Cant go wrong with QCY.. Fun fact.. Redmi is a xiaomi brand.. And QCY is a xiaomi endorsed partner brand.

  • How is this compared to tronsmart spunky and soundbeats?

    • Looks identical to soundpeats so probably made in the same factory.

Yeah I got these, QCY's and Blitzwolf ones.
These are by far the worst.

The buttons on both of mine rattle like mad so if you're jogging, that's all I hear.

I vaguely remember connectivity issues as well but I gave up on them pretty quick.

Felt really, really poor quality compared to the QCY/Blitzwolf ones … and I'm a Xiaomi fanboy.

    • Thanks for the review!

Out of all the other brands you've mentioned, which one has the best sound quality for music? Looking for something wireless for my train commute.

      • +2

QCY had the best sound quality, but was the worst shape and fit, kept falling out even with custom silicon earplugs, don't eve think about trying to jog/run with them. Great for at home though, but bad enough to replace for my commute.

The tronsmart onyx neo have been the best of the bunch for fit and has acceptable sound quality, can actually jog and they'll stay in tight, and the better seal means it blocks out a lot of noise.

        • Agree on the qcy fit. Kept falling out at work. Dropped one into paint, cleaned up ok under water surprisingly

          • @Fishesass: You did better than me, I had one drop out at southern Cross and end up going under a tram!

Still use the other one at home, but that's why I'd never recommend them.

    • Great. I just bought these off Amazon. They come Friday. Do you recommend I send them back?

  • Had these for almost a year and have no issues. Audio quality isn't the greatest but for the price, I have to recommend.

  • I get headaches from all bluetooth headphones/earphones :(
Waiting for a nice wired pair to come out to replace my apple earphones. Any recommendations?

    • What's your budget?

    • +3

Not what you want to hear, but it's probably the placebo effect. UHF radio waves (Bluetooth) don't cause headaches, if they did you'd be getting headaches all the time with the abundance of higher energy UHF waves roaming around the air (e.g. from cell towers and other transmitters).

      • I didn't even know they could cause headaches. I used bluetooth for a long time and didn't connect the dots with the headaches. As soon as I stopped using them (due to the headset dying) they stopped as I switched back to wired. I then left it for a couple of years and decided to try apple airpods, used only for a few hours in total and the headaches came back. Got rid of them, back to wired, no headaches. Yes, I have googled the reported low levels, but hey, perhaps its not one size fits all. Since discovering this personally, I have since found out that some others suffer the same.. oh well, if you don't suffer the headaches, kudos. You get to avoid tangled wires :( haha

I recommend wired headphone Sony MDR-XB550. I've been using it for nearly 3 years and the audio quality is totally perfect to me. If you don't take good care of it, its pads will be scratched easily (after 2 years, but mine is ok).

  • Had these for maybe 4 months and the right one no longer even charges or is recognised when paired or placed in the charging case. Maybe I just got a dodgey pair?

    • or a fake pair… There are so many floating around. I'm in the process of getting a refund on mine :( Wouldn't have bothered me if the seller didn't price it as a genuine one!

  • Great buds, slightly smaller than the QCY but similar sound. I prefer to use the AirDots. Both much better than the Tronsmart.

  • Got a set, one DOA, the other died after 3 months. Both connects but no sound coming out, the charging case is working still.

  • The Mi AirDots have true wireless stereo (TWS) technology that splits audio in both earbuds to deliver a truly wireless experience.

Misleading information. Only TWS+ does that.

  • I've had these since they were released. They fit really well for me. So well infect that I get some good passive noise cancellation. Good amount of bass too. It was a little finicky to set up, but I've had no real connectivity issues once I figured out how to use them. Just have to make sure your phone's Bluetooth is on before taking them out of the case and that you take the second one out of the case straight after the first (don't wait too long). Otherwise they won't sync properly.

  • My first pair were great but saddly I lost them and the second pair purchased from different eBay selling looked different and sounded terrible… Got a third pair for free from eBay seller and they look identical to the second pair and I haven't tried them!

  • I've got a pair of haylou gt1 from AliExpress, I've used them for several hundred hours. They sound great if you push them in far enough, no connection problems. Nearly same price as these but obviously shipping from China. Only problem is the touch sensitivity for play pause is a little low but that might not be a bad thing, better than oversensitive.
