Came across this today, seems to be a decent deal retails for approx $750-900 on ebay & mwave. Camel shows it dropped from $817 on amazon to $520.99 just recently not sure how long it will last!

seems to be selling out as fast as the other TP

  • Can someone let me know why can average household would need this? What use could this be, running a massive LAN party?

A business would use. I use two 48 port switches all running full capacity

Finally a way to connect my 48 home computers together. I've been waiting for this!

It's only interesting due to high density and PoE, so only really for a business with more than a few VOIP phones / IP cameras.

(The non-PoE 1700 is much more interesting for homelab stuff IMO)

  • Thanks ordered

  • I saw it going for around $450 about a week or so ago.

  • It's been 6-7 different prices lower than this?

I have the smaller version and it works just fine.

What you have linked to is:
      A) different brand
      B) only 10/100 NOT gigabit
      C) MUCH smaller, as in only 8 ports
      D) unmanaged

There is no value in your comment what so ever.

Up voted for your assessment on the value of his comment at the end. Nice touch.

        A) what's wrong with different brand
        B) some people may only need 10/100 NOT gigabit
        C) it's Much smaller and MUCH cheaper which you forgot to mention*.
        D) maybe it's for camera or ip phone, who cares if it is unmanaged
        E) they both have POE ports which is the main point*

I value your comment even I don't agree with it :)

        • While your taking about POE, you should also mention that it's only 802af, which is 12.95W, whereas the switch in the deal is poe+ (802at) which is 25.5W
