Mornington Pale Ale (12 x 640ml bottles)
Mornington Pale is an American-style Pale Ale (ABV: 4.7%). On the nose you get both citrus and passionfruit aromas, showcasing American hops added late in the brewing process. A light smooth palate, aided by the generous addition of wheat malts, moderate bitterness and carbonation make for a flavoursome and sessional ale. Best before: 25 May 2020

Mornington Brown Ale (12 x 640ml bottles)
Mornington Brown is an English-style Brown Ale (ABV: 5%), brewed using classic imported English ale malts. It displays all the wonderful rich and toffee characters associated with these malts. The palate offers more toffee and raisins, with a supporting cast of chocolate and nuts. Rich, full-bodied, smooth and moreish. Best before: 25 May 2020 Brown Ales are now Sold out

Mornington Pale Ale is a lovely drop

    • Agree. One of the best pales going.

      • It better be or I'll sue you for false advertising ;)

Bought one to add to the alcohol stockpile (next to the pile of dunny paper).

Great deal - if I didn't get these wholesale I would definitely have a look. Brown Ale is my favourite beer, would be happy to drink it every day for the rest of my life.

    • +1

      Yeah! Super moreish :)

    • Yep, totally agree.

2 great beers - good deal

Looking forward to MP prices coming down as more is brewed in bulk by their new(ish) owners. Significantly better than the Stockade beers.

    • The good prices are starting to filter through - I reckon they will land in the $55 to $60 range. We had a heap at Cellarbrations Balnarring around $55, but that was on a short time deal.

Doubtful this is possible, but worth asking: OP - any chance of doing this deal as a mixed pack - i.e. 6 x Pale Ale; 6 x Brown Ale?

    • Sadly, we can't do a mixed pack on this deal.

@benallthetime why don't you try teaming up with someone in your local area? I usually split these deals with my brother in law as we don't always want a whole carton of a beer we are yet to try!

Brown Ale - a real British Institution, now sadly more or less gone.
As a student in UK there was a great lifehack in the days before OzBargain (if you believe those days existed).
By ordering "a pint of Brown and Bitter" in the pub, the barman would give you a pint glass, filled halfway with bitter, served with a 330ml bottle of Brown Ale.
The two combined would be more than a pint of course and a student could happily chug away all night.
The other trick was to make sure you had about 1/4 pint left in your glass at last orders and then go an order a "half please" and the barman would fill your glass to the rim.

Keen to give this a try. Ordered one of each. Cheers OP.

    • Cheers @Rochie! They won't disappoint.

The brown is a great cooler weather beer, love it.

It's a beauty…smooth and rich. Browns are our go-to beer during Autumn.

    • It's got to be above 42 before I give up the Browns

  • Great value. Thanks CC.

    • Cheers Tool! Glad you like this deal.

  • really appreciate this OP - carton of the brown now winging its way to idyllboy manner.

    • Awesome! The Brown Ale is a ripper.

I made a similar comment on a previous deal, but it didn't seem to get fixed:

It is illegal to state "No refunds or exchanges on sale items". You could say something like "No refunds or exchanges on sale items if you change your mind". But if the product is faulty, you are legally obliged to remedy.

    From NSW Fair Trading:

A sign in a store that says 'no refunds' is illegal because it implies you won’t get an appropriate remedy even if the goods you bought have a major problem. Other examples of illegal signs are:

    'No refund on sale items'
    'No refund after seven days'
'Exchange or credit note only for return of sale items'.

Would like to see this fixed. I like beer, your deals and have purchased from you a few times AND I have not had a problem. But I have ordered beer online a few times elsewhere which turned out to be either off or a dud batch, despite the BBD.

Thanks @hophead - good feedback. We will update our wording. Cheers

      • Noticed you updated the deal but didn't follow through with updating the illegal "no refunds" notice?

Looks like the Brown ale is OOS

  • Got excited when I saw it was for a "case" and then checked again, case of 12 lol. No deal

    • +1

Maybe look closer; case of 12 x 640ml.

      • Oh, great deal . Bought Thanks OP

Brown ale is out of stock :(((((

I thought this was a long neck? What happened to the other 110ml that is missing?

    • Stubbies used to be 375ml too

      • All the good ones still are? None of this less for more garbage they are trying to push!

    • talk about copping it in the neck.

  • +1

+1 for the Mornington Brown Ale

  • Just got the pale, wish I got a chance for the brown as well.

    • Same. Hope the pale will be good :)

  • Got the pale and came back for the brown ale but…it’s gone. Any chance of some more at this price, OP?

  • Thanks OP, just bought 2 to try with some mates.

  • Doing Sharpy's Beer Run this weekend and Mornington Peninsula Brewery are a major sponsor, ordered!

  • Howdy OP - how long are the "best before" dates from bottling for the pale?

    • A year or more I would think. Ales tend to stay pretty good for a long time.

      • Not so much pales. They have year long dates in Australia because our bottle shops can impose bullshit terms, but overseas they have much shorter drink before dates.

The brown should be good, but I'm expecting the pale to taste… Not quite what it should…
