Are these two any good? Website lists them as vegan!

tbh I haven't tried these 2. I've been getting the non-veg ones, which have all been fantastic

I've never been a proven meal person so I don't have much of a reference, but I've grabbed a few for days at work when I forget my lunch or something. They're not bad, and at $3 they seem like a no brainer emergency meal when you can't find something vegan. I don't think I'd be looking at them as a first choice meal though.

Review from fellow vegan: Both are pretty good. I find they are a bit watery once cooked and aren't super flavoursome.
They are both pretty filling for a low calorie option though.
The Sri Lankan Root Vegetable is better in my opinion.
Definitely worth getting some at this price for a rainy day.

The chickpea curry one is my favourite. The green curry sauce has a great flavour and all the components complement each other pretty darn well (especially for a cheap microwave meal). I crave this bowl on the regular and will be stocking up this week; you should try it for $3 :)

  • How many days before the expiry date do you usually get on them?

    • +1

the ones I bought today expires Nov and Dec 2021 :O

      • Oh! Are they frozen? The website makes it look like they're ready-to-eat meals with 2 or 3 days on them.

        • Yes they are. But surprisingly doesn't taste that frozen. It's handy to keep in the freezer, and take to work as needed.

The super pule Thai green chicken curry bowl is $4 which I didnt realise. Anyway, it's dairy, soy and egg free which is good for my diet/allergies. Still quite high in salt. Only 276 calories though and I wouldn't mind it being a bit higher. Tastes good though.

  • These are very interesting at this price as a good price work lunch. Interesting

  • what ever happened to korean bbq beef variety? :(

    • Yeh I noticed that! I guess Coles doesn't stock them, but Woolworths do

    • I think they're in the next price range up - rectangle box rather than bowl. Unless yr thinking of the aldi version. Might be a woolies thing too

  • These are gross, in my opinion.
I wouldn't stock up if you haven't tried them.
