Nike Free Run 2 Running Shoes ~ $88.91 Delivered

90

Great price for a very comfortable pair of running shoes, and the best thing is there are no Australian shipping restrictions on any Nike running shoes on the site (unlike Eastbay, which decided to stop shipping to Australia so we buy from overpriced local Footlocker stores).
In order to get this price, use a spare email address to sign up for their newsletter and you get a coupon code that equates to $8.50 worth of savings. Then create an account for the site and place your order. Be aware there is a glitch that means no coupon code is sent if you create an account and then opt in to the newsletter.
Shipping is free and takes about 2-3 weeks from my experience. Dont bother paying the extra for priority despatch imo as the same shipping method is used, they just pack your order a day or two sooner.
Available sizes vary constantly so if your size is not available check back in a week and you should see new stock.

When you said free, I was hoping for free :(

  • climacool rides > free run 2. $63 at adidas Smith St now

  • That's just normal price isn't it?

If you spend over a certain amount shipping takes 2-3 business days. Last time I spent like $400, they posted Thursday. Got here Monday.

For those who want to buy use this voucher: 15OFF-CYCTRI

    Brings it down to $82.80

    • Do you mean dollars or pounds?

      • AUD

    • that voucher is invalid now.

      • I just used it 5 mins ago?

    • Awesome, thanks. Ended up getting a pair for $76 delivered, by using your coupon, keeping the currency as GBP & using the 28 degrees currency conversion.

That's a deal considering they are delivered!

  • $80.84 delivered for me (Platinum member). Have a pair of these as walking around shoes and the old version's 3.0s which I find great to run in, 20k+ no problems.

    • lol, i just decided to log in

      facepalm

the one thing I've found bad about frees it that if you off road even a little you get a few rocks stuck in the grooves…

  • I will never buy from footlocker or eastbay ever again for this shoes restriction bullshit.

    • In the case of Asics/Brooks (soon to be Saucony if not already) and I'm sure Mizuno won't be much further behind - they are manufacturer restrictions. it goes along the lines of:

"Stop selling our shoes overseas or we will no longer offer supply"

In the case of Nike - I do believe some limited edition restrictions are imposed by Nike but things like Free's etc would simply be Eastbay's Australian Footlocker version trying to grab some money. So if you need Free's $80 is an amazing price and Wiggle is a great place to get them (unless you like Ebay knock offs) - get on it!!!

Also Wiggle have upped their prices to Aussie customers for select Asics models, even on Platinum you're still paying 210 or 220 for kayano's- once again imposed on them by the evil Asics corporation and most likely its Oceania subsidiary.

So in the end I would be venting frustration at the major shoe companies, not the major retailers.

EDIT - Just spoke to an Eastbay rep who has informed me that "Unfortunately, we can no longer ship any Kobe VI shoes to Australia, due to Nikes' request. This also goes for any Jordan Retro, Foamposite, Free and Air Max 2011" So you see it's not the evil Eastbay/Footlocker (my apologies) it's Nike that are doing this.

but couldn't you do the forwarder thingy? if you are really interested in the shoes. TBH, shoes aren't supposed to be that expensive, and i wonder sometimes if it's really worth just flying jetstar to china or somewhere over the weekend and buy crate loads of them back. The amount saved by not buying locally could pay itself off in that air ticket… sound crazy.:/

      • If it is really Nike's intention to impose this restriction then wiggle should also not be able to supply these shoes to Australian customers. Why does this restriction only apply to eastbay but not wiggle?

I suspect this is the result of both Nike and Footlocker dealing in order to steal our money. It does make sense if you think about it because they are both financially better off.

  • Do they have Nike Mags in stock?

  • Good Price…I got my last pair from footlocker - $120 RRP (I think) minus 30% family and friends sale so it amounts to about the same!

  • Red ones look so cool, wonder how long runners are good for… (ie can i justify a new pair)

    • I think they last ages…they only get worn out if you use them for everyday wear (which I don't do anymore now that i'm no longer in high school)

And for the fact that they are only 80ish…Yes its justifed ;D

  • Mine arrived today, red & blue with a bright green innersole - nice!

  • The code does not work for me :(
