Link to see cashback amount depending on cover
    https://www.bupa.com.au/campaigns/partnerships/-/media/CE9F3…

You will see cashback amounts when you enter details for a quote too. Essentially it's the first month free but you need to sign up for 2 months to get cashback

not sure this is a great deal. as an example i recently signed up to a product that is $294/mth with 6 weeks free, 2&6 month waivers and a $100 giftcard. the value of the cashback for the product combination is only $250 if using this promo, so doesnt even account for the 6 weeks free.

code saver9 if it is still valid

        • Thank you

        • What is the discount with this code?

        • Erm, it's "9Saver", but close :)

        • What was the gift card?

    • EDIT: Sign up to the 9Saver program here and it looks like it runs until 26 June 2020!

      • Where did you get the info? :)

  • When you switch private health cover, do you have to serve the waiting period again each time you switch?

    • Generally no if you are switching to a comparable or lower level of cover. Claims made for yearly limits aslo carry over

I work as a health insurance broker, the easy way to answer this :

You will only serve waiting periods on upgraded benefits limits or rebates so you cannot be worse off switching like for like. All your waiting periods carry across on a transfer certificate from the old fund. ( minus any waiving on waiting periods for example the 2 & 6 months on the extras in this promotion )

    • No - not for cover you've already served wait periods on. You only have to wait for any additional limits or cover you've taken when you switch (much the same as if you stayed with the same insurer and just upgraded your cover).

I am cancelling my current family cover which costs my 351 per month

  • Was with Bupa a few years ago. Unsure if I qualify, anyone privy to what health insurers generally define as a “new” customer in these circumstances?

New means you’ve never signed up with Bupa.

  • in my opinion, this is so deceitful.
Only one of 56 products can get $1000 back from paypal.
The premium of the Ultimate Gold is $916.60 (NSW) per month.

Bupa is more expensive than my current MBP or many other providers I compare.

Currently ready to jump to another private health insurance provider. Please share your thoughts.
