I'm sure you are still eligible for trs

Just nothing to take you out of the country

    • +4

      Eligible but not capable

  • Think you get the full TRS amount of $118.88

    • +4

that is if you can get out of this country within 3 months, many AUS PR were dragged off the plane to overseas in the past few days.

      • Challenge accepted!

3 months? I thought it is 2 months or 60 days?

Who the hell is going to be traveling to take advantage of TRS 😂

    • +2

Maybe those people entitled to "essential travel"?
But not sure if TRS office at airport is open. Lol

Man this phone defies gravity. I'm a very happy owner of one but I'd expect it would have been cheaper by now. I guess the google ban is protecting our resale value on the P30 series :)

    • The p40 hasn't been announced yet (really soon) so it may drop more shortly.

I dont know if the new models are having much impact seeing as few will ever buy them in Australia. I bought my P30 Pro for virtually the same price just after the Mate 30 was released, normally that would have impacted price but it didn't. People in China were buying the newer Mate 30 for hundreds less than the older P30 Pro here. I wouldn't be surprised if the P40 Pro is cheaper than this in mainland China too.

I think it will be more influenced by superior models from competition. And the phone still holds up reasonably well against everything so far.

        • Yep the lack of Google services (officially) is hurting them. I saw the specs of the p40 pro and doesn't seem that impressive compared to the p30 pro.

@frogduck: I really like Huawei but what will prevent me buying another is their curved screens. The P30 Pro is bad enough (I'm always bumping stuff by accident the way I hold my phone) and the newer waterfall displays are even worse. Now the P40 Pro is curved on all 4 sides. There's no way I could use it properly. Plus, you wouldn't want to drop it…

Samsung seem to be going the other way, towards flat displays again. My next phone will be flat or less curved than the P30 Pro. It just needs a good camera (which Samsung have finally caught up on). That's just a personal gripe but I've never been able to adjust to curved screens.

Second that. Even the P30 lite is holding on in 400 range! My wife has P30 and love the pictures. Truly one of the best camera.

  • P30 seems like a good deal. JB Hifi has it at $699.
Get this, or wait for Samsung S10 to drop to $600? Haha…

Can't find any fault on the p30 pro after almost 7 month use. Great to see the price drop.

  • it's the 4G version! Hasn't xiaomi come up with 5G phones.. like the MI 10 Pro

  • Do these come with EMUI10?

  • Hmm…the p30 or the Xiaomi Mi 9 or Mi 9T pro?

  • oh after half a year .. its still at the same price

    • Not really, the Aussie is a lot weaker now

  • Gees, would pull the trigger in a heart beat if they have Aurora colour.
Hard to get TRS tho under the current circumstance

  • got the p30 a year ago when it just launched for $689,thanks for donald trump.
