Free Insertion Fees for Existing Sellers @ eBay

202

Surprised no one has posted this yet. It says it's targeted but it worked for both my accounts. I'm thinking it'll work for everyone as long as you meet the eligibility criteria.

Pay no Insertion Fees on up to 250,000 items you list and make available for purchase in Fixed Price or Auction-style format on eBay.com.au during the Promotion Period.

Its just insertion fees not final value fees so no real saving when you get 40 free insertion fees a month

    • -1

you might only sell 40 items a month but i have over 300 so it's a saving especially when they have done a promo on final value fees for ages!

      • +18

You have over 300 and you aren't springing for the basic store package which would give you 600 listings?

Crazy to think that you are paying $1.65 each for over 260 listings ($400+) instead of just paying $24.95 for a basic store package.

        • +2

Reduced final value fees with a store subscription too

        • -5

Assume this is true.. Gotta neg

          • +1

@justtoreply: Why neg when you don’t have the final answer?

            • @Rimzi: 🔫, 🤔

            • -1

@Rimzi: What do you mean? So i didn't look up store package cost. Doesn't change outcome. Sure they're not making this up.

        • Heck no. I just take advantage of promotions when they come.

    • yeah i misread as no FVF, but then read again and it's the same as what i have now … lol

  • +2

Come on already for once no final value fees! Been forever! Fees are so high!

        Gumtree?!

How are people organising and staying safe for local pickup now? Just thinking in terms of cash, social distancing etc?

    • +1

Same as anything else, like going to the shops, simple.

    • +1

Get purchaser to count/drop cash into clear ziplock bag. Seller holds bag. Same with the item. Buyer brings own bag, gets seller to drop item into it.

      Both use own sanitiser.

Disinfect cash later in soapy water. How seller disinfects item depends what it is.

Total face to face time <5 mins.

Wasn't in my seller offers but worked when I clicked the link. If they really wanted to provide relief they should also waive or reduce the FVF!

    Hmmm
If only certain members of the human race had practiced basic personal hygiene like covering sneezes and coughs and dont stick your dirty fingers in your mouth from the onset or in fact for ever, basic stuff I taught my children years ago, we wouldn't be in this situation of worrying how to hygenically pick an item up… or where to find toilet paper and pasta… bit late in retrospect…
The clean freaks of the world dont look so stupid now… Bit off subject but my 2 cents…

    • It should be practised but it doesn't confer immunity

      • -1

Absolutely not and I didn't infer that at all… No amount of being careful will make anyone immune to anything.. In fact more likely the opposite…
What I am saying in plain english is what everyone's now being told to practice to minimize the propagation of this new virus, of which no one has any resistance to (except possibly recovered victims), should have been normal human behavior to minimize the spread of any common exiting virus such as CC or seasonal flu etc… Bit like the Government issued popup displaying on the right of my screen as I type…Neg all you like, not particularly fussed as I know i'm right…
Hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe day.
        Cheers

Awesome deal, great for people like me who doesn’t list quite enough atm to warrant a setting up a store.

  • eBay = eScam

  • I clicked op's link and accepted the offer. And yes, i was eligible for the offer.
However the offer doesn't appear under "promotional offer".
    ???

    • +2

It doesn't appear under promotional offers, which is odd - but I can confirm that it does work. My listings relisted and I wasn't charged for them.

      • Thanks, i will try too😊

      • Yes, you're right!
        No insertion fees.
I was waiting for this offer for a long time!
