Thanks OP. Managed to grab one, the soap in my home office is about to run out so perfect timing.

  • It stinks anyway, all the Palmolive foaming soap stinks.

    • The refill is gone sadly

      • Refill is back in stock it seems.
Price hiked from $3.32 yesterday to $4.49.

I got told initially "not to post" but then "provide link". I hope this can finally make people happy.

what is this mob doing? release 10 QTY at one time? it's like games for them

  • Woolies (online) has the same 250ml bottle for $2.50. I should have some coming in my delivery tonight.

  • Out of stock.. Would have to be very very quick ha.

No point getting any that isn't anti-bacterial. Detol from Big W probably better.
Mostly just want a foam dispenser I can refill, got a 1L Palmolive antibactrial lime from chemist warehouse, this store had loads of them (for about $7 or so).

    • If you assume you have the virus on your hands and need an antibacterial it’s probably already too late

      • It can't hurt having one decent handwash in the house, would you prefer antibacterial or moisturising??
True though, hand soap should be good enough, it's more about the mindset, awareness and good hygiene.

        • Anti-bacterial soap hasn't been proven to be any better than normal soap and is banned in the US

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), there isn’t enough science to show that over-the-counter (OTC) antibacterial soaps are better at preventing illness than washing with plain soap and water. To date, the benefits of using antibacterial hand soap haven’t been proven. In addition, the wide use of these products over a long time has raised the question of potential negative effects on your health.

          https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/antibacterial…

And could have negative effects instead overall:

Professor Harry said the routine use of antibacterial soaps was promoting so-called "superbugs" and called for a similar ban to be introduced in Australia.

"An antibiotic, a drug that you take for infection is the same type of entity that's in an antibacterial soap. They're just different types of chemicals. But they're all called antibacterials," she said.

"Bacterial DNA can encode resistance. On these same pieces of DNA are resistance to things like penicillin and your basic antibiotics … So that whole piece of DNA goes from one bacteria to millions of others on the bathroom floor.

"Then they're all resistant, not just to the antibacterial in your wash, but also an antibiotic. That's where you have a problem.

          • @eecan: Yes but it's better if it's certified to kill 99.9% of germs. Not everyone will wash their hands for 2 minutes.
In these times it doesn't hurt to used an antibacterial soap when you first get home.. depends if you want to catch it

  • i feel like the AWS guys are playing with an AI for releasing stock levels or sales on these things to see what the market is like…..

    • They are probably laughing at us and making bets for the fastest to go
