    DeLonghi Dedica Manual Coffee Machine

Do you need to clutch ?

  • Anyone currently use this? Is it any good?

  • Wonderful, thanks - missed out on the TGG deal and was a bit bummed, but got in for this so I can finally give the Aeropress a rest! :D

  • big fan of this machine, not a beast to cater with - but for just me, I use it daily.

  • aww man! That red color, kinda glaring…..stands out in the kitchen unless you have the rest of the decor to go along……partner is picky with aesthetics, wish it came in silver/metal finish for same price.

  • Darn I paid $10 more (for delivery) and I would have rather had a red one.

If anyone is in Canberra and gets this deal and would rather have a black one let me know.

Or do you think Good Guys would let me do a swap in store? Edit: looks like they don't sell the red one at all :(

    • I'd totally swap if I was in Canberra (in Sydney though)

      • Interstate travel to swap coffee machines probably doesn't count as essential travel lol

        • LOL probably not hahahaha

  • Happy to swap this red one for the black version if anyone is in Melbourne

Used for a year, daily use. Combined with a Breville grinder it's quick to dish out a couple of cups.

Just ensure to read the manual and tips (eg. fast cool down to brew temp after doing milk).

And keep the gasket seal clean (wipe the portafilter basket lip clean before attaching) so it's easy to attach/detach the portafilter.

Whilst I also have a more serious Gaggia Classic, this heats up faster (due to smaller heat elements and no pressurised boiler). But each has its uses. This is easier for daily use.

Contemplating trying non-pressurised baskets and compare with the Gaggia.

Recommended and it looks good in red :-)

  • I have one of these that I use multiple times daily. Have upgraded the portafilter basket to non-pressurized one and the steamer to a Rancilio wand and it works great!
