  • If only the phone was included, THEN it might be a bargain…

      Phone?

Can someone delete this comment… it was meant for the twisty tree bargain which was posted.

This deal is actually pretty good.

          how about "edit" the post?

@lycan: thanks, point taken =) only been here for a week

Once a reply has been made, you can't edit the comment.

It stops people from saying: "I like this deal" and then someone replying "I like it too" and then you going back and editing the first post to say "I like men's parts"

Unfortunate for the situation where both the OP and the replier do like men's parts.

  • Does anyone know if it'd be easy to replace the HDD inside of this thing (without damaging it)?
and is the HDD 7200 RPM or 5400 RPM?

    • This is 5400RPM

  • sorry saw it after posted, is it same +$6 delivery to sydney?

    • Yes Australia wide

  • Wouldn't call it a bargain in the context of some recent deals but still the best value portable drive at the moment by a decent margin.

  • Can beat price from O.W?

    • since when are OW stocking Hitachi drives? I've only seen WD and Seagate in there…

  • SHIT, i bought 1 from MXY at $79 yesterday :…(

Where are the new Thinkpad deals? We do not need any more hard drives ^^

    • LOL…Currently only ideapad / Hitachi deal….

  • Is the HDD user swappable? I want to put this in my laptop, seems like the cheapest 750gb around..

How long is the warranty on this?

  • Hitachi HD has high failure rate and I am avoiding them.

    • LoL my Lacie mobile disk with a Hitachi 320gb just died 2 days ago, only 2 years old.

    • Prove it, stats please.

I have a over two dozen HDDs. 75% (3/4) of my Hitachi died after minimal use around 2-3 years. My WD and Seagate died around the rate of 1/5 after 3-4 years. I have a few going strong after 7 years.

          Wow, amazing sample size.

      • Hitachi bought IBM's Deskstar business after IBM shutdown in US, partly due to class actions over reliability.

        Perhaps Hitachi has got better?

  • Sounds more like you need to look after your hdd's and stop using them as door stops.

  • bummer it finished.
