  • This is an expired deal, but I'm putting this up as a warning for anybody considering in future. At 12 weeks, I am still waiting for Spotlight to deliver my M2M order. They promised within 4-6 weeks (which I thought was pretty long at the time, given other online companies offer turnarounds of 1 to 2 weeks).

Online research has shown me that this is an overwhelmingly common experience with Spotlight. First, you have somebody come out to provide a quote. This can take 1 to 2 weeks. Then you put in the order. Then they insist a second person comes out to remeasure (why the first person isn't trusted is beyond me). This can take another 1 to 2 weeks until somebody is available. It's only after they have measured the second time do they even check whether they have the material. They then put in an order for that material from overseas. This can take weeks (but would have taken less time if they'd ordered it at the time I placed the order, not the time they double checked my measurements). The material then gets shipped from your store to Queensland, where the curtains are made. Postage takes about a week from your store to Queensland. Postage then takes another week after it's made from Queensland back to your store. Then you have to wait a week or two to book in for somebody to install the curtains.

You can see why I've waited 12 weeks for this one order.

Their customer service is really quite shocking - it takes days to get answers from the team.

I would strongly recommend considering another company.
