  • I've had the mi band 2 for at least a year then changed to mi band 3 at the start of this year still love it especially the price $30 would getting this be any benefit?

    • Yes.

They are different kind of smartwatches.

Don't get this. You can't even shower with it.

      • I got one for my wife more than a year ago. Shower, ocean, pool - you name it. Goes OK.

I use Amazfit Stratos personally, hate the fact that every 5-6 weeks my wife starts looking for a charging cradle :-)

My bad. I've read many bad reviews saying it won't survive a shower or swim. If anything, I'd get something that's waterproof up to 50m, like the Mi Bands.

        • Devices backed by an international standard rating of IP68

IP ratings are a pretend standard where the party making the device certifies it as passing the IPX "standard".

this was my experience - swam and surfed with mine and reckon that was what did it in after about six months. likely the surfing I think as pretty hard on any watch. Shame as it was great - loved the always on display. Updates were a little anxiety inducing, as it did temporarily brick a couple of times. Now have the xiaomi gtr 42mm and really love it although the always-on isn't nearly as good.

  • OP any news on Amazfit bip 2. It was announced but suddenly no more updates

  • This has been two years old?? Where are the extra $50 functions compared to Miband 4?

    • bigger digitis to read?

    • +2

Trans-reflective display. GPS. Bigger screen. geomagnetic sensor and air pressure sensor.

    • Yeah bought it 2 years ago at around $60. Great watch, screen is average though.
Upgraded to the GTS can't fault it for a simple nice looking 10 day battery life watch.

I got the gts as well. Love it. Works good for recording running, lap swimming and open water swimming too.

  • I bought one of these for $80 delivered in Dec 2018. Excellent piece of kit for the money. Hope Xiaomi don't start pricing themselves out of the market.

  • It's just getting more expensive with time, just like good wine :-)

Have mine for couple of years and mostly happy with it.

  • just wondering where the product is located and how long it takes to ship to australia?

    • Stock in Syd.
