The A51 and A71 are the latest midrange releases featuring large AMOLE FHD+ screens, storage/ram configurations at 128GB/6GB, and batteries.

The Note 8 and is an excellent alternative for previous Samsung flagships with a S Pen, large 1440p screens, IP68, and ample RAM at 6GB RAM making them excellent work from home/productivity phones. For the Note 8 + Tech21 case promotion, please add both the phone and case to your cart, and the discount will be applied at checkout. Please then apply 15% off code PBOLT15. Thank you!

Also as mentioned in the last deal, below are some work from home categories. Not every item will be at its historical lowest price, but we are working very hard with suppliers to continually support the key categories at this time. Likewise, please apply coupon code PBOLT15 at checkout for 15% off.

As usual, 100% AU stock, GST tax invoice with ABN, local Australia Manufacturers warranty.

Our warehouse team are working harder than ever to ensure that as many orders as possible are shipped out within 24 hours. Currently nearly all orders are being dispatched within 24 hours and on target to be delivered on time, but please be aware that there are some areas facing delays, so we do recommend to be patient for these affected areas, and a plan B if urgent. We would like to thank Ozbargain for your continued support during this challenging situation, and wish everyone good health and safety.

  • Any chance for an iPhone XS Max deal?

A71 $474 through Samsung EPP store using the $50 discount.

    • Does the a71 display washed out colours? Just picked one up via Samsung EPP but its quite obvious. Compared to my Mi9se, I've tweaked the vivid settings but still looks bad.

Wondering if I have a lemon..

      • I got one too and side by side with an S20 you can't really tell any big difference. Do you have a picture of your issue?

        • Wow. Okay interesting. I'll take a photo tomorrow, but there's a definite difference in contrast in colours. Same photo side by side comparison and the mi9se has better colour contrast. Skin tone is more warm (and this is after trying to adjust to vivid)

if the note is the 9th, and 256gb i may bite at that price. probably soon.. pass now

    • Still using the Note 8, and it's a fantastic phone. This is a truly great price.

      • +4

No, it's not. A good price for note 9.

    • +2

Note 9 for $459 with early plan termination

      • +1

        hmmmmm………. very very interesting

edit: hold up, is the Note 9 single sim??

edit2: AU Note 9 seems to be dual sim (hybrid)

edit3: Telco Note 9's seem to be single sim :(

      • I can't see anything in that thread about a Note 9 for $459. The closest I can see is $879, which in its self, if I'm reading it right, is a good deal since you get 12months of 60GB with it.

        • +1

it's $99 upfront then you cancel on day 1 and pay $390 ETC (early termination charge). Should be $489 not sure how In28909 got $459.

          • @CVonC: You my bad, it should be $489

          • @CVonC: Ok, am I insane or is that crazy good? I have a delapitating S7Edge and been wanting to upgrade for a while. Although honestly I might just stay on the $60 month plan as it would work out cheaper than canceling and continuing to use my Optus plan which is $36 a month. $390 vs $432.

      • Thank you IN28909!

  • Any idea when the Samsung galaxy a31 coming out?

  • Hey LYL, how about an offer on the Note 9?

  • +1

You can get 30% discount on all samsung products from samsung education store plus you get $50 coupon code for signing up to receive promotion.

    • $50 coupon excludes Samsung Education Store :(

Can't believe Note 8 still cost $600 after 3.5 years? Should be worth less than $400.

    • How much does a 3 year old iPhone model of similar size cost? I use both Note 8 and an iPhone, and my hand rarely goes for the iPhone for anything other than iMessage

      • +1

I'm not a fan of Apple products due to high markup prices. People paid $500 more just for the brand name and they don't care about low specs.

  • Thanks OP!

  • Is A51 camera the same as A71 that good?

    • Hi superforever,

Both have quad rear camera setups, but the main sensor of the A71 is higher megapixel, 64MP+12MP+5MP+5MP (A71) vs 48MP+12MP+5MP+5MP (A51). Thanks

      • Thanks

Comparing camera quality by the image resolution is like comparing artists by the size of their canvas.

        • No it isn't. The size of a canvas is actually like comparing screen sizes. A more accurate description would be "comparing resolution is like comparing artists by the detail they put in their canvas". Usually higher detail means better so it's a tangible specification to use when comparing a camera where detail is important. 🤦‍♂️

          • -1

@Tythefly86: You just confirmed my point. A camera's output resolution is a weak indicator for the level of detail you can expect on those extra pixels. Some cameras will take more detailed photos on 8MP than others on 24MP. You will just end up with pictures that seem upscaled.

  • A71 cheaper here. AU$565.25(with 5% off now) and is 8Gb Ram version.

  • I wonder what's the difference between the A51 and M31 other than the battery. All comparisons I found online bring up almost the same specs.

A51 is $419.30 on samsung education store, use the $50 sign up voucher to get it for $369.30. Blue only in stock.

    • just picked up black. thanks

    • This would be amazing if I had a .edu.au email to use lol

      • Must know someone who is a student?

        • Unfortunately no, I don't. I'm not sure whether it's just an email confirmation and then I can shop as normal but if it is, I would be happy to pay someone to do it. $369 is like $100 cheaper than this deal was and is mainly why I didn't pull the trigger. If they can sell it at this price then I'm not paying 472 lol
