This was the pre-order price and then it went back up to $54 now gone back down again.

I guess because the game is pretty boring…it’s online only there’s only like two maps and not much to do. Four other players against the Predator and takes a while to wait to play as the Predator.

    • Thanks for this

    • Sounds like Evolve….

      • The developer did help make Evolve. It will probable becomes like Evolve and end up in the bargain bin in a few months.

Im a big fan of the Predator, but this game seems to be a bit disappointing.

If only they could make it as exciting as the original Predator movie was.

    • Asymmetrical games have a flawed design aspect, and i think developers need to drastically alter how they approach this kind of game.

      • Unlike most competitive games, there is no way to keep the game fresh.
You cannot tweak game play to add differing content to change the core games meta in anyway. Resulting in bland homogeneous gaming experience the longer the game is out.

      • The premise and atmosphere is interesting initially, but playing more and more games has diminishing returns on appeal.

      • The game is only fun if the other players participate. The majority group requires communication and tactics. The problem is, a majority of players in PUB's (public games) are gonna be Ramboing it and playing their game, their way. Regardless of it being counter-intuitive to the overall game design (vis a vis Playing Counter strike like its Call of duty).

      • The singular antagonistic character in these games is the singular point of issue. If this player has no idea wtf he/she is doing, the game is boring, bland, and underwhelming. This is an issue usually in the beginning at launch, but at the same time, happens throughout the life of the game.

The game design is flawed because players are flawed. The design relies on players to be "Good" or Cooperative as a baseline to enjoy these games, and the same can be said about some co-op only experiences. Unless you're playing with a full set of friends, the appeal dies quickly.

Specifically with Predator the appeal of fighting against or as the predator burns out really quick after role-playing a few games. The lacklustre amount of content means there is not much to work towards, and the variety in maps is pitiful.

If i were to summarise the game in a nutshell, it would be "one ugly motherf*****".

  • The game is crap, it should be $20.
Navigating through the games menu is clunky, lots of unnecessary choices were made there.
The newest patch made the Predator OP and they nerfed Fire Team (the humans).
There's still huge waiting times even though they added a timer to show how long you'll wait that thing is incorrect, you need to triple the time it says sometimes to get a real answer. Want to play as the Predator? get ready to wait up to 10 minutes.
I leveled up faster just playing a private match by myself and killing the AI in the game, it's the quickest way to get a game going. But killing just the AI only really works for Fire Team since when you do the mission you're assigned to do, they spawn new bots for you to kill. If you chose to play as the Predator, you can only kill what bots were loaded when the game started since your job is meant to be to kill Fire Team and you can't trigger any events to spawn more bots.
I've been playing it since launch and yesterday I chose to go back to finishing another game instead because this is just not an entertaining game.

  • For significant price drop from 39 -> $34, should be posted as a new deal. This deal is >14 days old and may not be seen by many.
