Do Aldi Frypans work in induction cooktop?

Hi all….we absolutely love our Aldi frypans. We prefer these to Scanpan and other expensive frypans. We just chuck them when the non stick is worn. But I'd really love to know if anyone can tell me if they work on an Induction cooktop. I've read about the magnet test and the magnet sticks but I'd really appreciate it if someone who has an iduction stovetop and uses the Aldi frypan can tell me. Thanks for reading my post.

I'm surprised you didn't ask for an MS Paint diagram to accompany

I hope this is the first part of the Frypans Trilogy.

  • I have induction and Aldi pans
However they sell lots of different types so you need to check the box
Wouldn’t guarantee they are all for induction

  • Read the instructions on the box, should tell you if it's induction safe.

  • I no longer have the boxes

    • Put it on and see if it heats up… not going to explode

      • I'd really appreciate it if someone who has an iduction stovetop and uses the Aldi frypan can tell me.

It sounds like OP don't have an inductin cooktop to try in on.

        • Iduction?
          Inductin?
          Induction?

        • try in on?
          try in one?
          trying on?
          try onion?
          try anon?
          triangle?
          try it on?

  • I have an aldi frypan I bought about 18 months ago and works fine on induction.

    lol 😂

  • If a magnet sticks to it the bottom of it strongly, should work on induction.

If you have purchased your pan(s) in the last 18 months from Aldi, they have engraved on the bottom if they are induction compatible

  • As John Kimble said, try to stick a magnet to the bottom of the pan, if the magnet sticks the pan should work on an induction top.

  • Hey you mean the Crofton ones? I just took a pic of one, and yes it said induction compatible. All of them did.

Thanks..just got my cooktop installed and bought two of the pans. Working fine. The ones they sold last weekend (the induction ones) are lighter in weight than other previous ones, also cheaper so not sure how long they will last. If they last three months I'll be happy. Thanks for your reply

  • Just purchased a 20cm and 26 cm Crofton frypan suitable for induction cooktops. The 26cm works fine. The 20cm does not. I returned and exchanged it today and, again, the small frypan does not work. Can someone at Aldi enlighten me to what the issue could be?
