Correct URL until post is revised: https://au-en.ring.com/products/chime

Shipping is $4.95 (to Metro Brisbane) - total $34.45

    • I got this from Officeworks last week. They did a price match after calculating the postage costs.
So after everything I paid $31.82

Do you actually get a door bell with this? If not then it feels like half a product. How do you even go about sourcing the other half?

The doorbell is a seperate product. The doorbell only sends a notification to your phone. This expands the doorbell to have a traditional ringer so you can use it without your phone.

Really this should just come with the Doorbell itself.

    • The doorbell does have a small speaker in it, at least the version we've got installed does. We've got the hard-wired version though, that may make a difference to the battery operated ones. So it does ring "traditionally" it's just if you're at the other end of the house you're probably not going to hear it.

      • Yeah that's correct. It's the same with our wireless one, you can hear it a bit inside but if you're at the back of the house, good luck!

I removed my Ring Doorbell, as it requires an active internet connection to work.
Why the need for an internet connection for a ring chime?
Understand it requires to be online for video component. Poor design!!!

A WI-FI doorbell would probably suit most and cheaper.

Maybe a traditional door bell is best suited for you lol
