  • Did it always need an online subscription to play the community made games? I can't remember if I bought this before or after I got the free 1 year subscription to Nintendo Online via Twitch Prime.

    • +1

Pretty sure it needs online. I already had online when I preordered it, so I don't have experience with it without online, but I've seen people mention online that the game is pretty much worthless without Nintendo Online.

    • +2

It always needed it. I got it when it first came out and it's basically useless unless you've got the online play.

  • Go digital for this game, worth keep in your switch until maker3 comes out.
I was always go physical for almost any games, until recently I got the ring advanture. It is physical only I think.then i have to swap cards multiple times everyday. I am sick of it. Start to think games like maker2/animal crossing/ should go digital.

    • +1

The only merit I keep buying physical games is that so I can resell them on ebay later.

      • Yes, I know but I found some games won't be on the resell list for me. RPGs are good to resell when you finished. But games like maker2,could play "forever" worth go digital.

        • The issue is you don’t know if you’ll like the game until you buy it. Maybe 25% I want to sell after playing for a few hours.

@noyesmaybeok: Also Nintendo will turn off the servers eventually, like they did with Mario Maker 1, then you don't have access to the online levels and its no longer a forever game.

  • Seen this cash converters endlessly for around 50-60 posted, but using the $10 made me bite finally. $48 bucks

  • Is this better than Super Mario Deluxe?

    • -1

Yes remember Nintendo gave that game away on wiiu when they had that promo to buy one game and choose between 5 games for free. It wasn’t very highly rated.

    • I had the same question a week ago and went with MM2 because I figured there would be unlimited levels rather than 200. I hate it. I have no interest in the 'making' side of this game, and it's so difficult to find classic style levels without trawling Reddit/YouTube and entering a code each time you find something you think you might enjoy. The levels in the older games and Deluxe are much more balanced, this game seems full of speed runs or impossibly hard levels. Just my opinion though.

      • I agree. I have limited interest in designing the game. I just want to play an already designed game with vibrant settings.

However, I also read other opinions online and it's highly recommended to buy MM2 if given a choice.

      • These fan made Mario Maker levels looks pretty epic. I thought it was an official Nintendo release.

        • Thanks fam. Played a few levels and then I went and learnt how to play the Super Worlds, I thought I had to play the levels individually which really took away from the game without having lives carried over between levels. I was planning on returning this but we'll see how it goes now.
