Discount not long after release. Now not sure whether to wait longer.

The demo is great fun and I'm sure the full game is great. Personally I think they overpriced it from the start. But call me Mr Cheap.

I feel all switch games are overpriced, and hopefully the market is catching on. Initially people will pay whatever to build a small library, but then the fatigue wears in and people become more price conscious. I assume sales volume is slowing as the influx of new switch owners reduce spending.

        • This is true, I'm not negging the company or anything but originally they were charging $70 for this on launch. That's as much as a AAA title on launch day.

          • @CorruptInterface: They never charged $70. The physical was $70. Which is the premium for a small run game that really is meant for collectors only.

@CorruptInterface: OH don't get me wrong, Nintendo is a great company and Switch a great console - I just wish the pricing was more accessible. Though all consoles are guilty of this - it's why i switched (ha) to PC gaming mainly. Bigger, cheaper, and more accessible library of games (and emulation).

            • @Kill Joy: Why do you feel the development of a game on switch is worth less than that of another platform?

              • @Hinee: Its's not worth 'less' - it should be worth the same. And its not the same when an old title that is $15 on steam or PS4 but it's $50 on Switch. Its usually a lower graphical quality, low framed version as well. So why pay a handsome premium?

I understand this game does not fit that analogy, but I am talking more broadly about the over pricing of Switch games in geeneral and how thats affecting all titles (such as this) as people fatigue from the spending.

I totally agree the switch games are a bit overpriced. However, I always hear people say "I wish this game will come to Switch", "I hope they port it to Switch". There's many people who love their games regardless of how good or average it is to be playable on their handheld. I guess that's a big reason why the games are always seem to be sold at a premium.

Overcooked 2 only ever gots a 40% discount tops. This will probably be the same eventually, but hardly seems worth waiting for an extra 20% discount. I say go for it if you want it.

I was happy to pay full whack for this one on release as it’s a local dev team, but was quite disappointed that it felt like a very watered down experience when compared to Overcooked. It’s a great one for kids though for sure, as the dip in complexity adds to the pick up and play. Overcooked is a game for couples, Moving Out is a game for families I reckon.

I played the demo and just didn't find it fun. Strongly recommend giving the demo a crack before purchasing.

Played it through, great couch co op game. I was happy with it for full price.

  • better co-op than overcooked.
    also more fun

  • This game is part of the Free* games on Xbox game pass for PC.

*Ofc you need a PC, game pass subscription (5 bucks a month) and games do get rotated in and out so could be there for a while or short time.

If your feeling cheap there's usually 1 month free offers going around or use Microsoft rewards, do your daily searches and get it for free minus your time to do searches.

I initially found the control scheme and gameplay annoying. But, once you get the hang of it, it's actually really fun and the game has some wonderful moments (worth the full price of entry for the hysterical farmyard level alone). It's closer to a multiplayer version of Octodad than it is to OC or OC2.

  • great game

  • This and Overcooked are great party games. So much fun with kids.
