I was wondering the same question. Where can it be ride?

    • +3

They are still legally ridden in Queensland.

      • +1

I don't think I can legally go to Queensland though

Was $710 from gearbite a few weeks back. This is not even close to a good deal

    • +1

      Yep, this isn't great.

    • I've been looking around and can't find it close to the $710 at the moment… :/

  • +1

I see the negs as unnecessary, ozb community knows the law against these scooters very well. Every scooter deal the same questions pop up, if you don't know do your research. Not everyone buys them to ride on public property.

  • was wondering what the dispatch time for this is?

    • +1

We have them in-stock at our Sydney warehouse. eg you place the order today, we dispatch tomorrow.

      • cheers!

Geeze, fines is SA are even steeper than NSW. $1200 V $660.

    • Nah, normally its two fines in NSW. Unregistered ($607) and uninsured ($530) so it works out about the same :)

  • Can’t stand the w*nkers who fly along busy pathways on these things

      w*nkers

I don't know, doing two things at once, that's pretty impressive

A trial of share electric scooters for Sydney has been axed, even as a government department continues work on planning for its rollout.

NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance ruled out the trial of e-scooters in an interview aired by 10 News First on Thursday.

“I'm not going to allow the e-scooter companies to pollute Sydney in the same way they have around the world,” he said.

    “It's a disgrace.

"You should see the cities of Europe, the cities of America, littered with these e-scooters, a lack of care, polluting the streets, putting people at risk.

"Paris is a disaster zone when it comes to e-scooters.”

He'd be right regarding the pollution factor of rentals. The footpaths are in sydney cbd are narrow enough without scooters laying about. Private ownership is another story though.

    Not a good bargain

surely with COVID and people getting back to work, the rules need to change rapidly to give people options to keep their distance on public transport.

    • Don't you dare try and be smart, we don't use logic around here!

    • +1

Where do you think they should go though? Almost impossible to fit reflectors and lights where you'd be able to see them on the road, and they're too fast for paths
