After yesterday's popular deal on the dual monitor mount I've managed to score a deal on the single monitor version. Supporting 10" to 27" monitors from 2.5kg up to 6.5kg and 75x75mm or 100x100mm VESA mounting.

It's not the version with 9kg support from the Amazon deal but still a really good mount if you have a monitor 6.5kg or less.

Not many lcds that weigh more then 6kg out there….

34" monitor? Kogan one just 6.6kgs

      • My 38 is 9.05kg…

Personally, for $6 more, I'd go with the stronger support.

      • +1

Support you mean customer support or the arm weight support?

        • Was referring to arm weight support. I can't say who would have better customer support in the end.

          • +1

@jwh: I'd pay 6 more if it means I'll get it in 2020

        • +1

          Lol @ customer support

@montorola: My gut tells me screenmounts will be OK with a physical business in Windsor NSW, and Banggood, well… usually I buy cheap things I don't expect much if any support for. This is shipped from AU though, so I would hope better than the usual Banggood experience?

    • Which Amazon arms?

        • isn't this the same model, F80? or am I missing something?

          • +3

@samualli: amazon one is slightly updated,

the clamping mechanism and cable management is different.

I got the new one and have an old model.

Changing clamp thickness requires Allen key on old model, new one doesn't which is much better

@samualli: The Amazon listing (description) is for the same model as this deal, but ScreenMounts (the specific seller on Amazon from that deal) was selling the updated model (same model number) that is rated to 9kg. (That is what Clear is referring to in the description of this deal.)

ScreenMounts doesn't "own" the listing (they are just selling the same model number as the existing listing), so they cannot edit the details on the listing. Hence why it has the details for the old model even though they are selling the updated one.

  • How long before it arrives?

    • +1

Well I'm still waiting on a Banggood delivery from April. So… dunno.

I bought the updated version from Amazon 2 days ago and it has already arrived and clamped on to my 34" ultrawide. Zero issues. Just the ugly yellow sticker at the base needs to go.

  • just had this mount setup with my Alienware AW3418DW. and it works perfectly. the monitor itself is about 7.2kg without stand and mount totally fine with this mount.

  • Anyone know why this won't support 27"+ monitors? If the weight and mount points are compatible, why does the size of the monitor matter?

    • It would be due to the vertical clearance. Monitors bigger than 27” won’t be able to rotate to vertical and/or won’t have the full range of motion vertically.

You may very well be able to use it with a larger monitor (many people use these with 34” Ultrawide), you just may be restricted in how you use it. Best to check if anyone has used it with a monitor the same size, and what the limitation might be (eg. 34” Ultrawide probably can’t swing to portrait!).
