I've gone through a few of these bottles having formerly used penrite. It's as good as the penrite but I seem to use up a bit more of this. Maybe it's slightly thinner.

I normally get at SCA when 20% off so about the same price as this.

  • I'm just a home gardener and have a DeWalt battery chainsaw. For very occasional use I've been told it's good to use canola cooking oil. Is that true? Especially for probing garden plants

Canola oil is too thin, it will just make rooster tails off the chain while you're cutting. The Gulf Western oil will be more than ideal for what you need, might use a little more but at least you know the bar and chain are getting lubed.

Used this lube oil once, learnt it was a shed product the hard way.

    • I’m a lumberjack and I’m OK…

    • It's for wood you fool

      Wait. What?

Would rather buy 1 of the other brands of this even tho it is very cheap.
