I grabbed it, and the Voda towers surprised me. Pretty decent data flow in my area, just a few drop outs pretty normal for 3G. Overall happy with it.
The billing is a bit weird though.
I am getting charged $4.67 per month not $4 not sure why but HEY this is Ozbargain. 67c gottamitt !
Also, I have yet to see any data recorded at all in their usage meter. It is supposed to be under "unbilled calls" but I got nothing there.

Hi guys, the 67 cents is the pro-rata charge. Which pretty much means that you get charged from the date of first usage or activation included in the first months bill. eg. if you started to use or activate you service on the 15th of september, you get charged the usage for that period i.e from the 15th till the end of september. The first bill always includes pro-rata charges, reason for that is due to the fact that you dont receive a bill for the first weeks. eg. If signed up on the 10th of September you wont receive a bill for the usage in the month of september, that will be added to the bill in november. Thus the pro-rata charge and in this case the 67 cents. It is only for the first month.

My PocketWifi2 modem has been having problems with connecting to Mobile network even though it receives full bars.
So I emailed Sure Telecom asking if they would repair it under warranty.
Just received their reply:
Dear customer
Account No. xxxxx - Mobile Broadband Cancellation
During the past 3 months many customers have come to enjoy our newly priced broadband plans. Unfortunately due to the excess fees customer get charged and Sure Telecom alike, we have made the decision to terminate this product entirely.
With some customers receiving bills for excess fees in the vicinity of $5,000 for 1 month and over 90% receiving bills in the $000's we cannot justify continuing to provide this service. We apologies for any inconvenience caused.

hmmmm, how the customer get charge $5000 a month? are they so stupid? downloading without knowing there is excess fee if they exceed their download allowance?
I just called Sure Telecom because the modem I have "wasn't working". I haven't used it for about 3-4 weeks, I haven't had the need.
I was given the same rubbish over the phone. I was told letters were sent out, well I didn't get one. So I'm going to label Sure Telecom as a scam, and will avoid them in future.
They sold something on an on going basis, and couldn't deliver, so they canned it, two months in. That, ladies and gentlemen, is a scam.
I wonder how many hundreds of people signed up for the 4gb for $4 plan only to find it dead two months later.
I got 2 of the $15pm with free 1g data account and got the letter about cancelling the data. Bit of a bummer really as I paid out one of our three plans as the data made the payout worth it but now I’m over $100 out of pocket. Not a happy camper…
Warning. If you signed up for this deal check your bill. We just got a charge for $250 from TELCOLLECT PTY LTD BAULKHAM HILL which is a partner of Sure telecom.
So not only have they gone back on the data promise now they are massively overcharging for what was supposed to be a $15 unlimited service. And no I did not run up a large data bill, I didn’t even get a chance to use more than a couple of meg before they cut off the data let alone go over the 1g that was promised.
I’m off to the back and the TIO.
and call your credit card company and tell them to charge back the merchant
