Glorious Model O Gaming Mouse $59 + Delivery @ PC Case Gear

151

Gday,

Great mouse for a great price. I personally have 2 (work and home) and love them. You will hear of cable disconnect issues with original batch models. But glorious provides free replacements posted to you if you encounter problems. As far as RMA processes go its very smooth. Anyway I thought I would get the cable issue drama out of the way.

Otherwise its a comfortable mouse for medium to large hands. Light weight and the popular 3360 sensor. I can honestly say my aim improved by buying one. (Came from a G603 with high dpi)

I had the first iteration of the Glorious O-,

It had all the issues, wobbly clicks, constant disconnects, weak structure,
The only thing they offered me was a free cable.

After being persistent they sent me out a Replacement Mouse, which effectively made the first feel like a prototype.

I wouldn't be too sold on their RMA process but that's just my experience.

The end product it self though is a good Mouse.

    • Thats really unfortunate.

All I did was send them a video of the mouse disconnecting with the serial number visible and a copy of my invoice. They provided a coupon to buy a cable with free postage. No sending it in and waiting for assessment etc.

In terms of build general build quality I have had no issues at all. Feels solid. Had 2 O-s first (which I swapped for the regular Os) and didnt have any complaints like yours.

Bought this mouse from PCCG earlier this month.

Unfortunately bumped into a fault with my right mouse button squeaking with each press.

Warranty claimed it with PCCG and they offered a full refund. They ended up only refunding the mouse and refused to refund the shipping cost of $16.

Not sure if this is standard practice but I've never experienced a vendor refusing to refund the shipping fees. Disappointing to say the least with PCCG.

PCCG aside, I actually really enjoyed the mouse (for the 1 day that I could stand the squeaking).

    • I've had to butt heads with PCCG before myself. Definitely not a store I would recommend for service.

I went straight to glorious with my issues. Couldnt be bothered with PCcasegear.

      • I always thought they were supposed to be one of the good ones. Who would you recommend for computer components?

Look I would not say they are bad or the people who work there are rude. Honestly they are 'fine'. It's just when you want to return, exchange or RMA stuff. It can be a struggle.

I still shop there all the time.

@Justin Powell: Honestly I've used them all, CPL, Scorptec, MSY, Centrecom and PCCG when I was doing a side hustle with PCs. Out of them all, I had the best service at PCCG and CPL when specifically dealing with RMA. There's definitely a lot worse, and PCCG is one of the better ones. But I guess, of course, everyone's mileage will vary depending on what reason for warranty you are trying to pull off and the person you are dealing with for it.

@aaronsd: Everyone has different experiences I guess. With Scorptec specially I always contact them via OCAU because they have a sponsorship for the forum. Which means any transaction starts off well and I am looked after.

CPL I have had RMA fights before. Port Melb was refusing to RMA something for me years ago.

But after so many years I am sure everyone has a bad story from most of the big stores. Makes us lucky we have so much choice.

        • When I buy PCs for other people I use scorptec. For myself I am happy to scavenge around 6 different stores for parts.

They used to be much more expensive, but since GST on grey imports came in, their competition isn't much cheaper

Great looking mouse and very lightweight.
If you're a twitch FPS gamer it should be near the top of your list of mice.

  • Anyone know is those holes collect dirt and gunk?

    • +1

I've had mine for gotta be a year now and its been fine honestly. I actually found the holes help with stopping your hands from getting sweaty so you get far less of that grimey build up. And for what its worth I get sweaty hands all the time.

But if you like to eat alot at your desk. Like chips and chocolate that might make your hands grubby perhaps pick the Razer viper. Which is very very close to this in size, shape and weight.

  • Anyone know when they will allow pick up again? shipping seems to be very expensive at pc case gear compared to other sites.

    • Sorry mate I do not know. Best to pick up the phone and call I reckon.

  • The holes looks disgusting

    • I think it looks awesome. But youre not the first person to be put off by them. It's called Trypophobia right?

Honestly tho. If I could have gotten a mouse of the same weight with no holes at the time I would have.

  • this mouse makes me itchy.

    • +1

Ironically it would be grate for scratching that itch.

  • Which colour is heavier?

Edit: nvm both colours are equal mass, but glossy is heavier than the matte finish

  • Great deal! Just wondering why the Glossy is on sale but the matte isn't?

    • Probably less popular and they have stock to clear.
