You're part of the reason the stores are empty. People buying it when they dont need it "just in case"

      • +29

They are scared of me coming…

        • +1

          Name checks out

        • +3

And thank you, indeed, for coming. It's important that you come. At least once. Every single day.

        • But you are…INEVITABLE!

          • +1

@Skinnerr: Hold it in and there will be a flood of me especially if tightarse has anything to do with it.

        • +9

Right, so 50,000 people buy 2 packets that they don't need, and there's our problem. People not thinking.

            • +11

@Turd: Not sure how this is relevant. Majority of toilet paper in stores is Aus-made using Aus wood. If someone wants to buy TP from china, pay the shipping and sell it in their own stores it isn't impacting on the supply chains of the brands you get in your local supermarket.

          • -5

@russta: Just so people r clear if there is no purchase limit then go for it
Ur entitaled to take as much as u need

        • It is why they are out! If every household thinks like you then there won’t be enough for people who actually needs it.

          • +4

@kaal: to everyone above me talking out of their turd factory…that's not the real issue and presumptuous to say so matter of fact. The problem are buying groups of people trying to make a quick buck. My little brother works for Woolies and today they had a bunch of 'buyers' visit the Chadstone store today. In and out in seperate transactions in 30mins. The one or two extra for households isn't the problem and I've seen no proof from Woolies that suggests so.

            • +1

@FlatulentFrank: And this is why security should be at EVERY Woolies/Coles to prevent this disgustingly selfish and self-entitled behaviour.

4-Ply is getting beyond the cost-benefit curve for ply number vs sheets used. That is, unless you have ironman fingers and always poke through…

    • how many sheets are the 3 ply?

      • 180 sheets. So while youre supposedly getting a little bit extra (same would be 135 sheets), you'd end up using the same number of sheets as 3 ply anyways.

That said, same price as this you can get the 3 ply 36 roll packs, which means the 3 ply wins out.

        • +6

Nah. I double fold 3 ply for 12 ply between my finger and butthole, but only fold 4 ply Gold once, for net usage of 8 ply per wipe.

It's a false economy to do any less layering by the time you factor in the cost of a good fingernail brush and/or a hospital stay…

          • @UncleRico: I wonder how you live with commercial single ply…

@ATangk: Like a Sara Lee pastry,

              “Layer upon layer upon layer…”

            • -1

@ATangk: He folds one ply 12 times breaking the world record of folding a piece of anything in half more than 7 times.

Nothing more alarming than unexpectedly touching your own date

      • -1

As long as she consents, you should be OK ;-)

    • Maybe I do, or maybe Sorbent is just crap. I find my rolls last longer with this 4ply since I don't need to double up.

      • +1

I am comparing to Quilton 3-ply. I think the last time I tried Sorbent I too had to double up too.

  • cheers OP… bought a pack

  • Ordered one…

  • The trade off with 4ply is less sheets per roll 140 vs 180 3ply
    Also 41.27 cents per roll

    • +3

yeah but 'technically' 4 ply 140 'sheets' is 560 'individual squares' whereas 3 ply 180 is only 540 'individual squares'. I say technically because I dont believe theyre equivalent thickness plys.

      • 3 ply minimum for me
otherwise a rogue digit might peek up my bum

        • Just get 2 ply and double it up. Itll be thicker than 4 ply, but you risk it slipping.

      • They call him - Professor Bogroll

    • Also 41.27 cents per roll

We need to know the $c/per 100sheets

  • got one. Thanks OP

  • +1

Lol I been in and nothing less than 3 Max .
Those silent hero’s are doing the same :)

  • Thanks OP, bought one

  • +4

    deja poo

  • First TP purchase for me this year. :-)

  • +1

Think subscribe and save has gone MIA

    • Yeap I can't find it : (
I thought my Amazon gift card was effecting it .

  • +2

My last purchased last the initial stage of Corona and this will do for the second wave :)

  • +1

No more sub and save, only option is to buy

  • Has sub & save been removed?

  • -2

I ordered this the last time it was this cheap. Amazon parked the order until I complained 2 weeks ago when they said I could rebuy them at $20ea. I argued got a credit and the things finally came today. Needless to say I complained to the ACCC.

Sure they're cheap. But seriously, don't buy if you're counting on this for your sole supply of loo paper.

    • Parked the order? meaning they cancelled the order?

      • prob means they didnt have stock to send so they were sitting on it? Or preorder perhaps?

    • +2

ACCC wont care much for you or your toilet paper - try complaining to Dan Andrews for not properly locking down Vic 3 months ago.

    • I could rebuy them at $20ea

You mean Amazon would provide you with $20 credit for each (dunno how many you're buying) so you can rebuy them without extra cost to you?

  • Thanks OP.

  • Not enough stock for subscribe and save remaining.

  • Thanks OP good find!

  • +1

Went to Woolies tonight - they have overstocked the shelves to the extent that toilet paper is stacked in front of the shelf on the floor.

The warehouses were full from last time when they ramped up production. There is no toilet paper shortage!!

    • +1

No, but there is a shortage of this particular paper at a good price. Coles has 6 rolls for $4.20, that's all I can find here locally. I'd prefer to buy local to reduce carbon footprint, but not at almost twice the price…

  • I'm probably not upper class enough but I don't enjoy 4 ply

    • It says "gold". Must be soft and the best paper you can treat yourself.

  • Yes. Woolworths has plenty of toilet paper. Never used this gold series, is the quality better than usual one?

    • +1

      Yes, by about a thurd…

      • Haha. Anyway out of stock now. Missed the gold.

  • damn missed out sub and save

  • +1

Subscribe and Save is not available on this item any more. I am a Prime subscriber.

    • I think most people here are prime remember trial or paid.

  • Oh nooo. I missed the deal.

  • That was quick :(

  • lost it while trying to find sub and save…

  • Added to cart, sold out :|

  • +1

F*** me here we go again 🙃

    • Am I the only person here who doubles up 3 Ply before use ?

      • +2

        I double on 4 ply…

  • Ughhhhhhhhhh not this stupidity again

  • +1

The shea butter version of this is so good.

    • Very difficult to find. Are they still making it?

      • Yes they are, saw it on the shelves a couple weeks ago, but definitely more scarce post-panic buying.

  • +2

Seems like another diarrhoea. GROW UP KIDS!

  • Ah!!! The old "toilet paper famine" is back again.

The same old crap (pardon the pun). Typical of Amazon, nowhere do they state the obvious that these are only 180 sheets & NOT double or tipple. It is in fact very expensive compared to supermarkets.

    • Quilton 4 Ply Toilet Tissue (140 Sheets per Roll, 11cm x 10cm), 30 count, Pack of 30

If you read the title you’d know exactly how many sheets and ply you’re getting. Also it’s 140, not 180.

    • Spare us the butthurt.

      It's 140 sheets x 4 ply x 30 rolls and is actually a very good price.

If it's going to make you so upset, don't buy it…

  • Anybody else prefer the Kleenex ones over the Quilton?

    • +2

      Nope.

Cottonelle is what the devil uses to wipe his butt…

    • +2

Haven't used Kleenex since they changed many years ago.

      • kleenex is like dried thin disintegrated bark

  • -1

Oh my god. The idiots have found their way into the building, yet again.

  • I can’t believe we’re here again 🤦‍♀️

    • Wiping arses isn't new.

Most people did it well before the Covids and will continue to do it well after…

  • this is back in stock - except prices have gone back up. Its now $20 or $18 with S&S
