Per Amazon link you provided, the review has slow write speeds "The read performance is really impressive, I get over 250MB/s, the write performance is not as good and is not stable, it varies from 30MB/s to 80MB/s."

These are horrible. They heat up like hot iron and speed degraded fast. I was stupid to have bought two but won’t buy again.

    • Have had the first variant for a number of years and complained to Sandisk about heat. They gladly exchanged a few of them but I kept one. But years on I would have thought they would have addressed the heat issue. Must be a function of form factor.

  • I have this exact USB plugged into my thinkpad, I don't use it much but for what I have used it for I haven't had any issues

This or the samsung bar plus?
The review seems ok with 300mbps read and 50 mbps write

    78$ with the 256gb

    • I have this and have only ever gotten slow speeds… Not sure if mine is a dud but haven't been impressed.

    • i got the 256g version of ultra fit

    • I like the Samsung bar because I don't have to worry about it getting damaged on my keychain. I lost a sex tape on a usb that fell of my key chain. Still expecting to see myself on porn hub.

I bought this as a simple storage upgrade for my 256GB Macbook air while I travelled last year and had no issues.

It's really handy for just leaving in the side of a laptop as it's a similar size as a wireless mouse dongle.

Like others have said, it does get a bit warm but for storing photos and videos from an SD card, it was/is more than adequate.

I use this. The transfer speed is average, and it does get warm.
