Just a word of warning ~ beware buying from this company. I ordered a tripod from them which was 'in stock' and received order confirmation email. A few days later it was out of stock. I contacted them the following week as my tripod had not been sent. No reply.

After a few more emails without reply I get one stating unfortunately your item has been placed on backorder but should be in stock within a couple of wks. A month had passed and I had heard nothing. Again, I received no reply to my emails. After 6 months I was becoming concerned. As a customer, they had my money and I was without a product and did not know when it was going to be in stock.

I contacted the ACCC and they were able to provide me with the managers email and said he was sorry for the delay but it would be in very soon. After 8 months I had had enough. The ACCC escalated my case and I got an email from the person who runs their finances. They stated that the order was so long ago it was not still in the system and they had to somehow credit my paypal. A long 9 months of them keeping hold of my money!

Anyway that was my experience I can't speak for everyone. Hopefully they have picked up their game!

    • Sorry to hear about your experience, but that sounds strange. Can you PM me your order number so that I can look into it?

The matter has been dealt with now. I received the credit last yr after a long hassle to get my money back. Just sharing my experience so others don't get caught out.

I strongly hope customer service has improved dramatically. Not replying to customer emails is not in the best interests of customer service. Nor is informing customer their goods will arrive soon when they are never coming.

        • I'd still like to look into it if you don't mind. I'm ultimately responsible for following up consumer purchase complaints via our website & would like to know where we dropped the ball on this one so it doesn't happen again.

        • Why don't you share the order number and let them respond? Seems a little unfair to accuse them, but not allow the rep to investigate and reply?

Did they pay you interest for the 9 month loan they got off you?

      • Haha I wish… Unfortunately not!

        • I have had positive experience dealing with CRKennedy with various filter, flash, and lens purchases.

Not once an issue. Usually ships item quick, warranty claim (not really their fault, Sigma flash didn't support my camera as claimed) was prompt, and def one of the lowest price for AU stock.

  • How do these compare to the Neewer flashes?

    • sneeky…

@RoosterBooster I sorry to hear about your trouble, but my experience with CR Kennedy is very positive. I have been buying from them for last 5 years through their ebay store and trough them directly. Never had any problem. I would definitely buy again from them need anything they stock and is priced better then other shops.

    • Pleased to hear you have had a more positive experience. I certainly wasn't coming on here to bag these guys I just wanted to share my one and only experience. Good luck with future purchases.

Hi OP what's the warranty duration for the flash?

    • +1

The manufacturers warranty is 12 months from the date of purchase, but you are also covered by the Australian Consumer Guarantee (for more information, see the ACCC website).

  • Bought one as a 21st birthday gift. Hope it arrives in time.
