After a cast iron frypan? This a relatively new brand in the Australian market, Colombian manufacturer – Kitchen Warehouse only supplier.

Already a competitive price comparing to Lodge brand and now 20% off making it a deal IMO. Features over Lodge are a longer handle and two pouring spouts (left handers rejoice). I cannot comment on any other aspect as I have not owned this brand before, but any cast iron is a winner in my book. Also a promo add-in is a leather cover for the handle (RRP $19.95) free with the promo code which could be a bit of a gimmick but what the heck.

To get to the $100 free shipping I added 6 Victorinox steak knives (always handy, versatile and sharp as heck) for $45.

The 20cm is down to $32 but unfortunately the 25cm is OOS.

    need $100 for free ship

    What kind of ship?

    • One made of Iron

  • Strange you can buy these through Bunnings online but no option for drive and collect.

To pull the trigger or not… hmm.

    • The Bunnings listing is linked to Kitchen Warehouse?

      • Yep. First I've seen them do that - affiliated listings.

    • That is a great article which rates Victoria (brand) and also cast iron. I did some research a year or more ago and was set on the brand but back then you could not get it here in Oz.

  • I think Lodge brand is the best product for cast iron, value for money.

    • Lodge is a well regarded brand for sure and very well known.

For an item you're going to have for basically the rest of your life, saving $10 seems pointless. A much better bargain to go for the best brand. Lodge would always be my go to.

      • Lodge is well regarded but not necessarily best - you need to own and test both brands to make that call.

  • I'll grab one and give it a go . 1/2 kg lighter than the Lodge makes it appealing.

  • any recommendations for a non stick frying pan? living in an apartment i can't really do high heat cooking with lots of smoke thanks to smoke detectors.. i guess that rules out cast iron?

    • Hi mate - I would have thought any frypan will smoke if there is not enough oil and the heat is high (meaning you are burning food) - it does not rule out cast iron - in the end you with cast iron you will have something that is non stick, easy to clean, bullet proof, and will last a lifetime. For cast iron alternatives, you can pay a high price for brand name stuff that you need to take a lot of care for, or buy cheap ALDI/K-Mart offerings which work quite well but have thinner bases and the non stick coatings may perish quicker.

      • Cheers, goes to show how much i know about cookware lol.
