Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro 5G Purple US$413.87 (~A$583.50) + Shipping @ BuyBuyBox

180

Great price for a favourite phone of OzBargainers!

Definitely one of the cheapest for a 865 chipset, camera has been great from people reviewing the phone with Gcam, otherwise does lack OIS

GSMArena review: https://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_poco_f2_pro-10220.php
Soon to be reviewed on DXO Mark.

Purple is by far the cheapest at $583, then Grey (best looking) is $613.
About $40 for delivery to Perth or $25 to over east based on a postcode of 6000 and 2000.

YMMV with BBB. See previous posts about them.

You might be thinking of Huawei…
Although Xiaomi did get caught tracing if you use their browser which i dont think many people would with Chrome, Firefox etc.

If you think you are not being traced anytime you use the internet you are being naive… Think about Google adverts…

@XCelR8: yeah i know, but you wouldn't want the ccp to have your information do you, given that they are planning for world domination (starting from the south china sea) and starting coronavirus and denying any involvement in any despicable things they did why would one trust such a self centred government who only take and never give( unless for its own self interest)

            • @[Deactivated]: I tried searching Google for anything like Huawei and CCP (but for Xiaomi), I cannot find anything remotely close.
Post evidence or stop talking BS. I can see why you got down voted now.

              • -7

@XCelR8: you don't get it do you, in china, the government tracks everything you do, every where you go even in the toilet they have facial recognition. Obviously they would trace your phone as well to prevent foreign information or anything that would demonise the government. Why would one buy such a tracking device from a chinese company.

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: Lmao. The ones dominating the world are capitalist countries like The USA and allies.

              • -3

@El Psy Kongroo: so you like coronavirus who knew

well then hope you get infected

          • +1

@XCelR8: This kind of racist and hater just assumes everything Chinese-made or manufactured has CCP tracker. Probably ate too much KFC. He should work as a KFC kitchen hand instead, if he doesn't. Even better he should work manual labour in a chicken processing plant. Seems suited for it.

            • -2

@El Psy Kongroo: what a hypocrite, if you like the oppressiveness of the ccp, then go right ahead, go to china write something negative about the ccp or even share something that is perceived to be negative in cop's eyes and see what happens to you, if you don't disappear or get arrested i'm surprised. Everything they do is to paint a positive light and suppress all negativity about the party. Just look at tiananmen square.

Or go on Facebook or any social media, do you see any bad things about the ccp, no you don't, its only memes, and tick ticks or how chinese people are very good at help people

              • +1

@[Deactivated]: Everyone's a hypocrite including you. Of course there are many bad things about every government, not just CCP. You spoke as if capitalist (non-communist) countries' governments like The USA and allies are much better than CCP. The fact remains that British and Europeans took over America, Australia, etc by destroying native / indigenous population, yet now these countries are acting like they're so much better than non-allied countries (Afghanistan, Iraq, China, North Korea, maybe Russia, etc). Such hypocrite. I know we're improving and still trying to pay for the sins of our fathers but we must never forget the racist and horrible past, otherwise history will repeat itself again. The problem is I can see a lot of people from capitalist countries and allied-countries now trying to erase their country's past mistakes, acting like Saints and judging non-allied countries. That's hypocrisy too.

As I said before, the ones dominating the world are capitalist countries like The USA and allies, not China. Winner takes all. Winners (The USA and allies) have the power to rewrite history and control everything. As for the KFC and chicken processing plant comment, I was hoping for you to work there because currently most of the people working there are overworked and underpaid refugees from poor countries and international students (who are already paying a lot of money to study in Australia). Australian schools' and some tertiary educations are not that much better than developing countries' education, but we charge so much money at international students. Most international students have to pay at least 5 times more money than local students for the same education (not including paying for rent and other expenses yet). So I hope you're grateful that we made a lot of money from international students (including Chinese international students) and outsourcing some manufacturing to China to take advantage of the cheap Chinese labours, etc.

    • taobao?

    • Do you have a link?

    • I did see that, Chinese Vs Global, so lacks the Band 28, and does lose some bloatware compared to Chinese ROM

  • +1

How does this compare to the rumoured Pixel 4a 5g ? I know it hasn't been revealed yet but it's coming out soon and i'm looking for a midrange phone to replace my current Mi Mix 2S.

    • pixel 4a is a mid or low range off smartphones but this one is Flagship. this one is a beast Im still using POCO F1 and still awesome

    • +1

This one is way better than pixel 4a in terms of performance, battery life and cost effectiveness

  • Is there + GST too?

  • Paid $658 about a month back, with shipping this works out to $629 with shipping.

Can't claim guarantee pricing scheme on it.

bought 1 last month. Very happy with it. Not much bigger than my old Nokia 8. Super fast. grate battery life. Screen is easy to read. Using dark mode most of the time.

    • camera?

  • Bought the 8/256 version. I ordered and paid last Tuesday 21/07 Appears it was shipped Friday but no update since then (they use Toll) so just a heads up, I suspect the delays are COVID related.

    • Hi

Just want to know did you buy the phone through their website? also think to buy one from them but a bit worry about shipping, hope you can get your phone on time.

      • Hey mate, received it last Friday, so took about 10 days to arrive all in all not bad. I ordered from their site. Paid using paypal.

  • good deal

  • anyone get their phone? i just ordered Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro 5G Dual SIM (Global Version) - 8GB/256GB - from them,, anyone know how their ''tracking'' works?

    • +1

The tracking is through Toll once shipped, it sits as something like "awaiting warehouse" until it ships, then when it ships they just provide the tracking number. Being Toll the tracking is fairly useless. from order to received for me it was about 10 days I am in NSW. I got the grey 8/256

      • hows the phone?

        • Amazing, the full screen and the miui features are amazing and it takes full advantage of my wifi 6 and media streaming from my home server. Super responsive, thought the 60hz screen might be an issue but honestly given that it only ever seems to make a difference (in my opinion) during fast scrolling it's completely fine.

  • Has anyone claimed warranty from buybuybox?
I know its a big of risk buying from these online stores who are mainly based in Hong Kong
