• EXTENDED HEIGHT (MM) 1500

• Can vouch for both the price and quality.
I spent much more, from the same seller and still don't feel bad about it.
Not a travel setup, but good at what it does.

I was a little hesitant to move from clips but these are better than clips for one hand use imo. The 1/4 twist makes a huge difference compared to other twist locks.

• are these sold out?
edit: just went to low stock had to reload my cart for it to show up
some cheap bags on there as well

Might have sold out now, can't check out.

Packages could not be calculated
Insufficient stock available for V244044. 1 have not been ordered.

• Bit off topic, but I'm looking for a cheaper tripod for a DSLR. Is this tripod any good? Or should I look at a Neewer tripod?

• Weifang is bad as legs cannot move independently from each other, it is mainly use for video indoor where even floor is available

• Sold out. Cannot check out.

• Yer, did anyone manage to buy one? Feel like the offer was to just get my email address for their newsletter.

• Did you buy one, OP?

• I tried checking out with the tripod and got the same error.

Nice tripod for the price. The extended height of this is nice but 1.6kgs is just too much for me.

I'm using a Benro and Sirui. I used to use Manfrotto, but there was a bit of a drop in quality, I ended up selling everything.

In the end I went looking for other companies that had good build quality, very low weight and a reasonable price. Benro and Sirui came out on top, back in the day no-one had heard of them, these days they are much more popular.

If you don't mind the 138cm height, the Traveller 5C is a good option, and only 900grams!!!! Rated for 8kgs, but I would say 4kgs is probably more suitable fully extended.

Hope this helps someone

• Thanks for the links, looks a nice option and very light.
Does it have the click-lock adjustable legs and swivel centre column like the Vanguard as these are good features- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phLZ2cXCNtY

Sirui is goodvalue.

• This is excellent - thanks for the review. I recall being on the fence re: sirui years ago, concerned about reliability. Your review has been veyr helpful - can now get one with some confidence

• I’ve been eyeing the Leofoto LS-224C for a while. How does this compare?

• Just checked out fine. Got 2 emails. One saying submitted one saying received with this ok the body :

‘ Thank you for placing an order with us. Your order has been processed by our system as shown below. If you have any queries regarding your order please don't hesitate to contact us. ’

Used Zip and money taken ok

• I just tried 10 times to checkout- reply same as eccan above "Packages could not be calculated
Insufficient stock available for V244044. 1 have not been ordered."
What browser are you using?

• Was on phone. Tried again and same error. I had put the item in my cart originally when I first saw deal an hour ago so maybe it held stock for me?

• +1

I also tried via website and got the 'package could not be calculated' message. When I logged into the site on my phone, I still got the same message, but when I clicked 'Continue', it still went through to the payment section. Paid by paypal so, see how it goes :S

• @shodan: Thanks Shodan, followed your procedure on my PC and it also worked, maybe the error message is just a glitch on their website- fingers crossed we all get one.

Bought it for $175 exactly 2 years ago. Great tripod!

• can the middle column lock horizontally (e.g. to shoot flatlays)?

• +2

I just tried and you can't lock it horizontally

• Thanks for checking.

• You may be better served by a c-stand.

• I see. Any recommendation good for food photography?

• Seems to have good specs at this price. Note that it's on the heavy side for its size, and the 5-section design can compromise stability a bit.

• Failed at checkout, insufficient stock:(

• Try the "Continue" button as advised by Shodan and it takes you to the payment page.

• Most light weight travel tripods are not suitable for long exposure. A bit of wind you get blurry image. But good as a secondary when you just can't carry a full size around.

Out of stock now. There's no "IN STOCK" tag on the site, no option to buy, just a "Product Enquiry" button.

• Good tripod. Bought one over a year ago - paid around $190 from memory.

• I purchased the ab version by mistake urghhh #145. I have emailed them to tell them it was a mistake.

Is the ab still good value?

• Shipped this am

• Yeah, same here, they did have a few in stock after all.

• back in stock for those who want to buy. i will probably wait for a nice Sirui deal which are lighter in weight
