Enjoy :)

Borderlands 3 is free to play this weekend on select platforms, and the fun is already underway on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam, and Stadia. If you haven't yet embarked on your own Borderlands 3 adventure or you're looking to get some friends involved, now's the perfect time!

Between the platform-specific start and end times listed below, you can enjoy everything that the Borderlands 3 base game has to offer. Power up your chosen Vault Hunter with killer weapons and superhuman abilities as you shoot and loot across multiple planets in pursuit of the diabolical Calypso Twins.

If you decide to purchase any edition of Borderlands 3 after the Free Play period ends, all your progress and loot will be saved so you can pick up right where you left off. To that end, Borderlands 3 is currently on sale across all the platforms listed below; see each first-party store listing for additional details.

Cool! If you make it to Sanctuary III in-game that means you can start using all those Golden Keys you've been hoarding 'just in case'…and because they are free, of course. (You have been grabbing all those keys, haven't you? It would be un-OzBargain not to…)

      Neh.

As an FYI if like the last games the golden keys given level specific loot; i.e. if you rush to chest and use keys you'll get items for newbie level; where as i found it better to burn a key every 5 levels or so to get one powerful gun as i was playing; and used the rest when i hit level cap for better end game loot. Of course; do it your way; just an FYI

    • You get better loot off trash mobs FYI

  • Good game with a lacklustre story

    • Completely agree the game is fun to play but the main story is just… bad. Too many plot holes and just annoyance. Some good one liners as usual, and still satisfying to finish.

The DLC is much better, grab it when its on sale.

Nice find, it took me a few days to complete Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel so I'm keen to complete this before it ends!

Yep, just turned up my Launtel plan to 100mbps for the day to finish this badboy by tonight. First time using that feature and gotta say it's pretty neat!

    • I forgot to share that you can get free gold keys here:
      https://mentalmars.com/game-news/borderlands-3-golden-keys/

For new players, it's basically decent grade loot for the level you are at (when opening the chest) and they give away free gold keys every now and then. I usually just splurge if I don't get the weapon I want for that level or if my weapon is hopeless against the mission I'm up to (I'm a sniper game player).

      Anyway, have fun people!

Out of curiosity, doors anyone in Australia have Stadia? If so, how? And is it any good?

    • +1

If they do it’d be via a VPN.

    • Yes, but you need a VPN. It works but there's graphical artefactimg and lag. Google has advised they will be expanding to move markets this year - but hasn't advised which markets.
