Hi all,
I have recently purchased an Apple Watch 5 (cellular) for my sister who forgets her phone and gets lost due to her disability.
She currently has an apple iPhone 8 and an iPad Air (cellular but with no active service).
She’s on the Boost prepaid plan and pays $300 per year for the following:
$300
240GB
UNLIMITED calls & text to national standard numbers
UNLIMITED INTERNATIONAL standard calls & text to 30 selected destinations
3600 INTERNATIONAL standard mins & text to 25 selected destinations
3600 INTERNATIONAL standard MMS to 55 selected destinations
12 month expiry
I’d like her mobile number and watch number to be the same, but understand only Telstra, Optus and Vodafone offer the e-sim plans for it. Her current credit doesn’t expire until December 2020 but I really need the watch to have a phone number that works (preferably the same number she has now).
What is the cheapest alternative for sim only prepaid/postpaid that will work across Apple Watch 5 and an iPhone 8 with the same number? She doesn’t really need the international stuff that the boost plan offers but it has come in handy from time to time!
Any advice you can give to keep this total cost down and ideally have the phone number/data running across all three devices would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
If you do end up porting her current number I’m pretty sure you’d lose all the remaining credit with boost.
