Apple iPad 2 Wi-Fi 16GB (Black) $525.95 Delivered

32

Cheapest I could find on the net for Australian stock delivered, has anyone purchased from this site before and hows customer service like? Prefer to purchase from a retail shop for that price any clue if any retailer will price match this?
Also Apple iPad 2 WiFi 32GB (Black)for $609.95 delivered.

MOD EDIT - Those interested may wish to read comments below. I cant see any reference on their site to being Australian Stock.
Full warranty (Standard Apple International warranty) and they are based in Hong Kong (in their FAQ) and they say any customs charges are responsibility of purchaser.

Got really bad reviews here, but then again those with bad experiences are always "louder".

Just buy from Kogan apple offer international warranty anyway so there's no issue with grey imports.

        • It's from Kogan HK though, so there's no tax invoice for TRS or deductions

        • No tax invoice? That's insane!

        • Either buy at lower prices or pay local prices and get a tax invoice. Can't have both!

        • You cant have a tax invoice if you havent paid for any…

        • There will be a tax invoice. Just no GST deductible.

Kogan is selling 16GB WIFI black/white for $479+29 delivery? = $508. Since this is a "bargain" site, you'll get a better bargain from the "grey" imports =)The products are the same after all. Its just that apple australia over price their product to rip consumer off.

    • True about local prices, but thats standard for most companies. Look at Kogans price differential on the Canon camera. ($530) and samsung SII ($220)

Note also dman801 comment, if you are in a position to save with the GST this deal would be better. Likewise if you can claim this off your tax, like a business or the education refund for a parent.

And on that point Kogan is not paying the GST so in essence the savings compared to this deal are not the Apple "ripoff" its the governments "ripoff", you know the tax that pays for the NBN etc

EDIT All that said. I cant see this as saying its Australian stock. All the site says that I can read is Full warranty. which is covered by the standard International warranty Apple offers, which BTW Canon and other manufacturers DONT extend to grey imports like Apple does.

      • ozpete might be correct on this being not from Australian stock. Saw contacts and Australian flag and contact number just assumed from here. If it was really from here might have been better deal then kogan because of 1-2 days delivery times. (Usually Ships in 1-2 Business Days!!!) pretty much says it all.

        • Ships in 1-2 days does not mean 1-2 days delivery time… just saying.. they could be shipping it from HK so it will definitely be more than 1-2 days to reach your door. All their assuring you is that from when you pay, it will take 1-2 days for them to hand it off at whichever shipping/postal company they use.

        • k thanks for clearing that up
