2 Xbox Kinect Sensors for $50 at Ringwood Myer Try Other Stores! Reciept Included!
This was posted 1 year 6 months 23 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
Hi guys!
Just found the greatest deal I have ever found! Myer in Ringwood had two brand new Kinect Sensors discounted to $50 a piece (RRP $200, Ozgameshop $150). They had a poster that said Buy one get one free for Gaming stuff and I asked the guy if they were included and he said yeah. So I just got $400 worth of gaming stuff for $50!!! Please go check out other Myer store and use my receipt to see if you can something similar to this deal. Unfortunately Ringwood doesn't have any more Kinect Sensors but other notable deals I saw were:
Tony Hawk Ride $50 each (two in stock so both for $50 all up)
Band Hero Complete Set $50 (Can't remember what platform but I'm leaning towards 360)
DJ Hero 2 Turntable+Game $50 each lots of stock
Heaps of games for 360/PS3/Wii/PSP but they weren't great deals. PS3 games ranged from $20-$50.
Hopefully your local Myer can do something similar to this fantastic deal and let me know if you successful anywhere else!

Sorry, It is the actual Kinect Sensor with the bundled Kinect Adventures.

The things I said in the post were the only real other deals.
Games were all pretty avg priced. But if you found two that you really liked it could be a good deal although I didn't find any that took my fancy.
There was a Logitech PC Steering wheel for $50, didn't look to new or flash but I'm not sure how Racing Wheels are priced so might be decent?

Mistake = Profit!
The fine print on the buy one get one free was "Not including Console Hardware". The distinction between Console Hardware being the actual console (360, PS3, Wii) and the Kinect probably wasn't clear to the guy and it might have been classified as console hardware. If OzBlogger got the same deal then something must be consistent throughout stores. If you talked to the manager then I'm sure he is gonna understand the prices of his stock and not sell anything under cost compared to a salesman that sells whatever the price tag/deal says.
+1 voteThis is what I think happened:
The clearance prices weren't suppose to come into effect till the 1 for 1 deal was on (1st Nov. maybe), but someone at Ringwood must have put the clearance sticker early. And the chick @ Knox was very helpful, as in she called Ringwood, clarified it and found Kinect to be $50 in the memo, then gave me 2 for $50 (they had only 2 left !!).
I still think if someone's willing to try it should work at other Myers .. provided they have stock
Michael15286 on 28/10/2011 - 21:49 ¶Checked out Myer in Perth. Nothing really special there. No kinects or Guitar Hero specials… -_-
BUT, if you still have a PSP 1000 lying around, you can get the add-on camera for it for $10 with the Invisimals bundle. It may work with 2000/3000 PSP's as well.
overlord00 on 29/10/2011 - 19:32 ¶didnt see this until now. gonna go check Freo again tomorrow for anything good. Last time I went looking for those GH Guitars, and had no luck on the pricing.
+1 voteemptypocket on 28/10/2011 - 22:43 ¶What are they going to do with all those games that don't sell? which is many considering they're still a rip off.
They should discount more, its been a month or more now and they're still offering the same discount as day one.
garglebutt on 29/10/2011 - 16:53 ¶Belconnen was pretty much done with all their console stuff. Just odd junk left.
charmed_tiger6 on 31/10/2011 - 11:28 ¶I'll buy the second one you got for $50! lol I doubt that I will find this deal anywhere now…
charmed_tiger6 on 31/10/2011 - 14:14 ¶So is this deal meant to be on this week? As it isn't advertised on their website anywhere…

Picked one up for $50 at Macquarie Centre Myer. Nubzy said no stock, however there were exactly two left after I purchased one. They're inside a glass cabinet with a $199 sign next to them.
Alternatively if anyone wants to try a pricematch I can provide a receipt with $50 on it.
Ken_ZomgWtfBbq on 06/11/2011 - 08:06 ¶Anyone from this thread selling their Kinect?
I am willing to pay $80
