Bioshock $5 and Bioshock 2 $12.50 USD on Steam

Saw this on Steam's website a couple of days ago. Not the first time it's gone down to $5 but nevertheless, still a pretty good deal. Get it, hook your comp up to a 50-inch tv, and sit five feet away.

EDIT: the $4.99 price tag for Bioshock 2 is US ONLY. AU's price is $12.49. Bioshock still remains at $4.99.

It's incredible such a good game was destroyed by its sequel that was more like an expansion than anything else. This franchise had real potential, interesting graphics, storyline and weapons.

  The Bioshock 1 team has been working on Bioshock Infinite, the trailers/gameplay released so far looks pretty amazing, look it up.

  just checked on steamprices. 4.99 is on the US steam store. Maybe you clicked a direct link from another website? This price won't be available unless you get a VPN or get an american friend to gift it to you. Shame was a bit excited haha

  Can you buy it though ? I tried to purchase L4D2 using a US VPN, and the transaction wouldn't go through because of my Australian based address or Credit Card. Paypal wouldn't work either.

    Hmmph. Couldn't you just make a new steam acc with a US address then send it as a gift to your normal steam account?
    
    That surprises me that they check your PayPal too. I guess you could make a US paypal account if you really wanted to and get Bioshock 2 and use a US VPN.

I always just get my US friends to send me the game and I pay them for it through paypal.
