What is Live Penguin TV?
At sunset every night (AEST) the world's largest colony of Little Penguins waddle up Phillip Island's floodlit beaches to their homes. Since we aren't able to welcome visitors to enjoy this natural phenomenon in person at the moment, we've decided to bring the penguins into homes across the world instead.

How can I watch it?
Viewers can tune in on our Facebook page or YouTube channel to watch live and ask questions in real-time, or here on this page to watch it back later. You can watch on your phone, laptop or if you're feeling extra savvy - stream to your TV to enjoy the little penguins on the big screen!

The Asian tourists will still find a way to ignore the 'no flash photography' signs and ruin it for everyone else.

    • It's no photography at all now period. Photos must be purchased in the oversized tourist complex up the hill

      • +2

even worse, some of them ignored the 'no photography' sign during our last visit..
        I'm asian by the way

      • (profanity) that. May be an unpopular opinion but I'm still going to take photos but no flash photography, ofcourse. Night-mode ftw

        • +1

lets be honest… if there's no flash does it really disturb the wildlife? you're allowed to gawk at them from 1m away, whats the difference between that and just lifting a phone in front of you?

          • +1

@Andard: The trouble is people go off the tracks to follow the birds to take photos. If people behaved then it wouldn’t be an issue.

Please don’t bundle all asians into one bundle.

      ITS THE CHINESE

        • +12

What is this racist shit going on

          • +1

@T18: To be fair Mainland Chinese tourists are known to be absolutely horrible.

        • +1

Please don’t bundle all Chinese into one bundle.

Its the MAINLAND Chinese with foreign passports

          • @Jojo-Ma: My brain saw, MAINLAND CHEESE

            mmmm, cheese

    • +5

I have seem locals and non-asians who have ignores the no flash photography signs too.

      • +3

Same at St Kilda. Jerks come in all sorts.

    • +3

I was at Singapore Night Safari last year and the zoo flat out cancelled the dingo show half way through because the mainland Chinese wouldn't stop taking flash photos. Everytime one did, they'd stop the show. After 10 warnings they just stopped.

Then on the safari trip itself, the rule was to be quiet and speak no louder than a whisper but the mainlanders didn't give a (profanity) and ruined it. I absolutely cannot stand them as tourists. yet when I was in China a few years back I was treated with nothing but respect and friendliness (Not so much in the big cities though)

Unfortunately the companion attraction "Chinese Tourist Parade" has been suspended until further notice.
