    Dimensions per speaker (H/W/D): 200 x 325 x 329 mm

    Site says (W/H/D)

    • W/H/D is correct

  • If I was able to afford an upgrade my PC speakers, from my 15 year old Altec Lansing FX6021: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zorUbzobtU

These would be my choice, as I have 5 Q Acoustic speakers in the living room, including the Centre I bought from Rio a few weeks back.

So tempting, I even have a spare amplifier already.

    • These are pretty big for PC speakers

      • Yes, but that is why you can run them without a sub-woofer. The cheaper 3000 series like the 3010s and 3020s don't go down low enough from what I have read.

        • That is correct, ive got the 3020's and the low end probably needs a bit more kick. I'll eventually get a sub to hook up to them

    • It’s all depends on what you are chasing for pc speakers. I had a concept 20 with a m&k sub and they goes well.

The biggest improvement I found is improving the dac, was using an AudioQuest Dragon Fly Red and the music dynamics jumps a few levels from the onboard sound card.

Maybe get the 3020 and move the lowest pair from your lounge room to become your pc speakers.

  • Can you do the black ones for the same price?

    • They already are at $699

I always feel like sites are cheap and tacky when they inculed spin the wheel "Spin the Wheel — Subscribe to Save on Your Next Purchase!:

  • Thank you, picked up a pair to match the 3090i (which I really like) from a few weeks ago!
Also stacked the signing up for the newsletter discount of -$34.95, bringing the total to $685.05 (with the $21 for shipping insurance)

  • Are these ok for movies or would a high end Samsung Sound bar like the Q800/900/950T be better?

    • +1

I'm not a professional, but…majority of the times (possibly all), speakers will be better than sound bars.
soundstage will be much wider, as they are apart, compared to the soundbar being in the middle - so you fee like things are wider apart, rather being in the centre.
isolation will also be better on speakers compared to a soundbar - left and right sounds will actually sound much more convincing.

I'd only recommend a soundbar if you don't have space to support a reciever + speakers…
