Was looking to rewatch the Harry Potters. Looked around everywhere for a cheap set yesterday with no luck. Checked back again today, and Amazon suddenly has the lowest ever price according to camelcamelcamel!

I was looking for the 4k set which is currently $129.50 at JB HiFi, but couldn't resist this price for BluRay. I mean, the movies are $5 each to rent in BluRay on Google Play store.

It also seems the 4k is available on Amazon for $129.50, it's just under "BluRay" for some reason. But the image and name is clearly the 4K set, and they must be price-matching JB HiFi. Only 3 left though, so get in quick

EDIT: It seems to be back in stock, but on back-order. Haven't tried ordering the back-order yet since I already bought it, but would be happy to have confirmation from someone who has done this successfully. I've updated the main link.

Have you grown to care for the boy, after all?

  • still have the whole collection on itunes from a deal maybe >5 years ago

    • You could upgrade to blu-ray quality.

It's similar to the upgrade from DVD to iTunes quality.

  • Sold out? Can't find an option to add to cart.

    • Seems to be up for backorder now. Though I haven't tried that myself!

  • Purchased for $55 delivered a few weeks ago and thought that was good deal.

not available on any on demand streaming services and costs 4.95 for a "HD" digital rental per film so this deal is $3 more to own all 8 on Blu Ray for life.

  • Boo, OOS. Only available from 3rd party sellers

    • Seems to be up for backorder now. Though I haven't tried that myself!

  • Nice 1 OP :)

These were free to watch on Netflix. By now most would have seen these movies at least once too.

    • I forgot that every single person that wants to see Harry Potter has already seen them, and that everybody who has seen them doesn't want to rewatch. Thanks for the reminder!

    • No need for so many downvotes.

If you are planning to watch these on a laptop or 32" inch TV, and already have netflix, why not save the money?

I bought the blu-rays, but I have a projector and sound system, so yeah. Streaming ain't gonna cut it.

      • +1

Well for starters they aren’t on Netflix anymore

  • iTunes has the whole movie set for $80 in 4K dolby vision — I missed out this deal but ordered it from Sanity

    • +3

Even iTunes 4k is still streaming quality. It isn't going to beat 1080p blu-ray.

  • I would but, nothing will ever beat out my $5 for the near pristine 10th anniversary edition worth $98 RRP

  • Was about to pull the trigger but realised I already had them individually in pile of shame… highly recommend you check your pile before purchasing!

The greatest magic trick Harry Potter ever did was fooling the world into thinking Daniel Radcliffe isn't a terrible actor.
