I did the salary benefits but never got a GGC account :(

Me too. Disappointing as someone who genuinely works for an NFP.
Guess all the surge in OzB applications made GG pull the pin or something!

  • Is it Android TV OS?

        So, POS?

        • I spent 1 minute trying to see why you had so many upvotes. Then realised what the other meaning of POS is.

Reviews here (in case if you wonder how good this one is) —> https://www.philips.com.au/c-p/50PUT6103_79/6000-series-4k-u…

    • The ones here are no better.

No commercial account, what to do?

  • Looking at reviews. Doesn’t seem value

Most of the reviews seem to complain about not being able to install different apps on the TV.

  • crap service in oz these days, and 2 many cheap models requiring it.

Have the 58 inch version of it.

Best picture quality I've had in a SCREEN (albeit I've never really had experience with more expensive TVs), no ghosting at all (I also have the Hisense 50P7 and the ghosting is absolutely atrocious on that), and when I watch 4K movies on my blu ray player it looks premium.

Obviously not the best you can get, but for this price that is an awesome deal.

The only thing I dislike about it is that it's so bloody laggy with button presses and opening apps/changing source inputs (that's one thing the 50P7 does well, it's very quick). But I think that's an alright write off for this price.

Oh and also, my 58PUT has YT, Netflix and Prime Video built into it which is great. No Stan/Disney though.

  • Ouch…Paid $580 at TGG last week haha.
I dont have access to the commercial site anyway.

As far as quality goes, its a very decent TV for the price.
Good picture, sounds ok with no sound bar etc and runs games fine (what i got it for)

Basically has Netflix and YouTube In the apps and the other 99% is American stuff you cant use.

If you can get it at $420 it’s well worth it.

    • what games do you run?

I'm looking to buy one purely for my room to play ps4 and eventually ps5

      • Just fifa and some racing games, it goes alright.
Not noticed any bad lag in graphics etc

Obviously there are much better options available but for $420 you can’t really go too wrong and even if your not happy, you can always try flog in on Gumtree for almost cost as its still advertised $600 at most stores

  • I have one. Great for prime or Netflix. Casting works well too. For the price it's great!!! Just don't expect to be adding Apps for other streaming services though. Any tv without android will have that issue though

    • Not LG, they always seem to have all the latest and newest streaming apps

I bought this a few weeks back with this deal and am very happy so far.

It's a great deal if you want a decent "dumb" TV - I don't use the native OS at all as I have a Nvidia Shield connected running Plex and Netflix. It has CEC so I only have to use the Shield remote. I had to turn on refresh rate matching on the Shield - not sure if that is due to the TV or the Shield.

The TV OS seemed to run Netflix fine when I tested but looks pretty average with limited apps.

I haven't tested my Xbox on it yet but I think some reviews have noted it's probably not suited for serious gaming.

  • If anyone has a commercial login, PM me. I'm looking to jump on this deal.

  • My MBP 13" 2018 @ 4K will only do 30hz. It's not too bad, but something to consider.

EDIT: Just saw this on their site and tried HDMI2 still at 30hz

    Video inputs on HDMI1
    up to 4K UHD 3840x 2160 @30Hz
    Computer inputs on HDMI1
    up to 4K UHD 3840x 2160 @30Hz
    Computer inputs on HDMI2/3
    up to 4K UHD 3840x 2160 @60Hz
    Video inputs on HDMI2/3
    up to 4K UHD 3840x 2160 @60Hz

    Any ideas?

Whats the sound like on this TV. Most cheap TVs have terrible sound. Is this an exception?
