Nintendo 3DS + The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D for $250 at JB Hi-Fi Chadstone, VIC

61

Hey guys,

Not sure if this is a bargain or not, but I thought it was. Saw the deal for the 3DS for $199 at Target. Walked into JB, they had Zelda on special for $59 and the 3DS for $219. Got them together for $250. Maybe you can use this as leverage in another store to get a better deal.

Like I said, not sure if it's a bargain or not, but take from it what you can :)

  • Are there any other good 3DS games worth buying for those of us who already have a regular DS and are considering buying a 3DS?

    • Super Mario 3D end of the month and Mario Kart 3D 1-2 weeks after that

    • Not yet, although Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 will both be out within a month.

  • not bad. you saved $7.88. 3DS $199 at target. zelda $58.88 at HN.

  • A friend from work was talking about her favourite video game being Zelda Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64. How similar is this DS version? Would it be a direct port, or a reworked version? Or is it completely different?
    I'm keen to try.

    • reworked with new features

    • Same game with improved graphics. Personally, I don't think Ocarina of Time translates well to the portable systems. It's such a long, epic game that you really need to set aside a couple hours in front of a television to get through. Portable games = short missions and pick up and play.

      • i agree, its a game to be played for longer sessions.

The fact that you restart from the town or from the start of each temple gets you lost if you're playing for 10 min bouts.

having said that, i had the time of my life playing it, and i quite liked the 3d especially in the later levels.

The only new features are the 3D, being able to replay boss fights, and master quest once you beat the game. Not much difference really

  • Don't forget this, it's free till february 2012
