deal seeking missile on 06/11/2011 - 11:19 ¶the 540 is about 15 % to 35 % slower depending on how intense the game you're playing is.

my wife uses 16gig in her machine for photoshop, if she needed a laptop it would also have 16gig, depends on what you are doing with the machine if its overkill or not. Personally Id enjoy having all the extra ram to run VMs when I am on site to test patches or changes or just ideas I have at the time.

Ken_ZomgWtfBbq on 05/11/2011 - 19:19 ¶Thats nice! I paid nearly just as much for my desktop and has about the same specs

just count yourself lucky you didnt have to travel to the store to find that out =P

dazzaaustralia on 09/11/2011 - 01:10 ¶if you want a faster graphics card - look at the G74SX for around $1299 refurbished - $1699 brand new with the ozbargain discount code. They have free shipping in Perth - Access Antennas.
The 3gb DDR5 GTX 560 kicks ass - just do a search on g74sx and it comes up in the ozbargain search.
15" is smaller, but i guess you cant fit such a high end card in the 15" models.
