Corded earphones are the best one ever made.
No latency. Excellent call quality and price for them really cheap

      • +6

Agreed, + no battery or SAR concerns

        • +6

Oh yes thats another big one.
          Never have to charge.
How good is that! Pretty great isn't it?

            @fantoo: Excellent new technology!!!

          • +3

@fantoo: And pairs with any phone, you don't pay a premium for multipoint connections!

      • But have you ever got tangled with them and embarrass yourself in the public with it?

    • ^ Found the audio amateur.

Cord earphones and sports doesn’t seem to go together well. Wireless are cheap enough already and offers the freedom Of movement needed for “Sports”

    • +16

How many years do you think we've been using corded earphones for sport prior to wireless earbuds?

Are you 18 years old or something close to that?

      • +5

Different strokes fine. My own experience is that like many Ozbargainers, I have too many headphones/earphones already. But out and about, in the garden or any sports at all, or even just mowing my acreage, I can’t go back to corded, which is only used for when I’m seated in one single spot in the office or study.
I just can’t go back to corded, the number of times I yanked the buds out… etc or when they get caught in something I’m doing.
Those that knock this may need to try it

        • +1

Yep me too. Cordless from here on out for me!

        • +1

+1. Corded ones are only for online gaming. Latency is negligible and can be ignored for rest of all real life scenarios.

I used to ride a penny farthing up hill both ways in the snow each day to school, but I can move with the times.

I did love my yellow Sony Walkman though. That was awesome.

If a good set of wired sports headphones don't provide the 'freedom Of movement needed for' running, then you are running wrong.

      Good hunt

  • I am using the "sports" earphone but it should be called "annoying" earphone. Fitting it to ear is annoying and pain. Just a simple earphone is better if need wired earphone.

    • Sony MDRAS210 or Sony MDRAS410?
MDRAS410 looks more comfortable i reckon because of the flexible & adjustable loop

      • Yeah… You are right especially with wearing glasses.

I bought the old version of these in black for $10 a couple years ago and they are hands down the best gym earphones I've had. I use it for running and they definitely stay in place with the over ear design. Also incredibly durable over the past few years and have even been in the wash a few times accidentally and still work fine.

This version comes with a mic and remote but if everything is still the same then highly recommend it

    • …great feedback. i want to use these indoors on my bike trainer…i think they look alright for $20

  • Thanks OP, good for spare in my car..

    Priced have gone up slightly.

    • …so they have. hopefully someone can update the deal.
the additional ones i listed above are all still the same price

  • staff/mods/op…why not just update the deal rather than expire it?
….good to see the deal is active again!

  • I bought a pair of these in the last deal. (Sony MDRAS210APWQE Sports Headphones)

Audio quality is very good for speech, but not much bass so probably not great for music. I also have to run these at a much lower volume - they are much louder than my Sennheisers or other brand buds.

I wanted something I could listen to the TV on (have a little FM transmitter) and hear what is being said by the family around me - so didn’t want sealed buds. These work.

The only thing is - my ears are clearly too big (think they just kept growing after puberty) and so the bands around the back are too tight - a pair of scissors fixed that while retaining stability.

  • …prices keep changing…!? bloody amazon…!
the set i bought for $20.44 this morning are now $30.76

  • This is a good price, but they're actually pretty ordinary for sports, in my experience at least. Fiddly to get on and actually doesn't sit in the ear that well. Gave up pretty quickly on these.
