    Nice price on the A2000.
$10.20 shipping for me, so $147.20 delivered, cheaper than the current market best at $149 (cash pickup price at Umart, +$10 for delivery +1.5% surcharge fee)

EDIT: There is a 1% surcharge on paypal with Shopping Epxress, but still $148.67 delivered is a decent price given that SE delivers quickly

      SE delivers quickly?

My order with them hasn't had any action in a week. Hardly what I would consider "quick".

      • +1

Personally I've only done 2 orders with them, but the first was early and the second on time according to their initial estimate.

      • +1

Futu Online/Shopping Express deliveries have always been extremely quick in the past
I haven't ordered anything this year but when I ordered from Futu/SE, it's always been very rapid..

        Anyone else have recent experiences?

        • +1

Always been good for me using SE. Bought heaps off them before but nothing in the last 6 months.

I just wanted to follow up on this and correct my earlier statement.

I contacted SE about the delay and they noted that one of the items I had purchased needed to be shipped in from their warehouse. As such, there was a 3-5 day delay.

Given that it's meant to be shipping today (5 business days after purchase), I'd say I was incorrect in my previous comment.

  • Lots of great deals this month hope they keep coming 👍

Wow A2000 just keeps dropping in price. They are solid though… pity I have no need for another SSD… or do I?!

    • Replace all your hard drives? I am in the same boat as you and honestly, these prices are getting too good I might end up getting rid of spinning disks

      • I don't think I'd want these in my NAS as storage drives, but in my PC… I've still got free space on my SSDs, and a nice 10TB Exos X16 in there too from a previous deal. Oh woe. Maybe I need to find a reason to build a new PC!

      • If the A2000 came in 2TB, I would buy 3 of them in one go. But they don't….. Instead I settled for a 4TB 860 EVO,.

    • You can use one as a cool bookmark

  • The PS5 apparently has a M.2 NVMe slot for storage expansion. But nobody know details about compatibility.

    • surely any nvme m.2 will be fine?

      • We don't know if it's PCIe 3/4, supported capacities, lowest accepted speed etc.
Think Sony will release a list of compatible SSD's once the console is released.

  • Someone save me $89 and convince me my desktop only needs 16GB ram and not another 16 more!

Unless you actually know the reason as to why you need 32gb of ram then you really don't. Very few games can utilise more than 16, such as flight simulator or heavily modded games such as cities skylines. Then again this is a pretty good deal and would last till ddr5 very easily (32gb).

      • +1

While I agree that most people don't need 32gb ram (yet), the reason I upgraded to it was because I wanted to be able to run a game without having to close my browser (I am also a tab hoarder so my browser uses a lot of my ram on its own). So for multitasking it comes in handy but also good for future proofing

    • In all honesty, I've really enjoyed 32gb and 64gb of ram in my two PCs. Knowing I can have nearly unlimited tabs open has been great, and nice to not have any slowdown.

      • +1

Cheers for the replies guys. I too like to have 200 tabs open in Firefox but I must admit even with 'only' 16GB ram, I'm pretty sure less than 50% is in use when I check task manager.

    • Just upgrade for chrome usage.

    • Future proof!

You LIKE having gaps between your RAM sticks!

    • It could always go lower price, but I like a LOT of RAM as I routinely have VM's going. Guess it depends on what you do.

  • Gaaah!!! Bought the A2000 for $160 from MSY only yesterday afternoon!! :-(

    • Tell me about it, I just ordered a A2000, RM850x and 2x8gb ram kit this morning….

  • Could of saved $35 on the motherboard and $20 on the ryzen 5 3600 i bought, fek

  • Another noob question, is this mobo terrible if I gonna pair it with the Ryzen 5 3600.

    And these RAM

Why is it so cheap? Any catch with it if i don't know how and not even planning overclocking?

    • +1

      Why is it so cheap?

$90 for 16GB RAM is not really that cheap. Around $100 is a pretty standard price for 3200 MHz CL16.

      • thanks. I had meant the mobo for $89.

  • In case anybody is thinking of the Corsair RGB Pro (I was).

I ended up buying these. If you're adding 2x8 to a current gskill setup and want an y aussie seller, centrecom have 4x8gb for $299 delivered also.

  • Should I buy the A200 1 TB now, looks like a good price but wont need it for another month or two (waiting for Zen 3 announcement)

    • Are you out of storage?

      Yes, buy now.

      No, wait.

  • G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz CL16 for $155 looks pretty good too
